To think these sofas are ugly?

DF had asked me help her choose a colour as she thinks they're "fab" I can't get my head around them!

They'll look great in the right room with the right styling. It's all about context.

It's a different taste.

Nope, they're quite fun. Ugly sofas are those puffy cream-coloured or brown leather corner ones that make fart noises when you sit on them, and have a recliner footrest bit.

Admittedly, the ones in your link would leave very odd imprints on you if you had sex on your sofa.

Not for me. They make me feel like throwing up.

Just to be clear we have the type of friendship where we are brutally honest with eachother! Not the MN friendships where friends can't seem to talk to one another when needed

I've sat on one and they are VERY comfy - bit too "out there" for us though

At first I thought hideous. Then when I clicked on the grey I noticed it's the same as a cushion I have.

They would only look good in the sort of apartment one has to pose in. Not family friendly at all.

No you are not being unreasonable to think those sofas are ugly

They look a caricature of a sofa iuswim. Cartoony sofas!

Looking on a laptop, so can see that the cabling is a fake sticting effect, rather than knitted. i think the stitching would probably snap and beging to look scruffy.

The colour is great - an easy one to team with a neutral or colourful room. The fake cable and the ordinary shape of the sofa are pretty incongruous, though and it's quite expensive for such a risky effect on something that could look uninspring and messy after a year.

Looks like she's leaning towards the biscuit, her living room is nicely done up I just don't see how it will fit in! Perhaps it'll look better as part of the room?

I like them but then I loathe black leather sofas and people love those

I'd love one for my kitchen but doesn't look like washable covers so realistically, not much use!
