It is nonsense.But I mean, wtf??

the other thing, these kids, AFAIK, idolize "these rappers". Telling them they'll grow up to be a rapper if they do X (such as wear a hoodie??) is a sure fire thing to get them to do it.

But rapping is associated mostly with black people- at least it used to be. I know there the odd famous non-black ones. But still.

I'm not sure that's how it works, love. If anything he's being the opposite of racist in not identifying rapping with skin colour unlike you.
