I don't like the sound of it. But then I also dont get things made out of ashes or placenta.

Pleanty of ways to be sentimental without body parts/fluids getting involved.

It's not for me (only as I am very fussy about jewellery)but no, I don't think it's disgusting at all. It's for the mother to wear not for random strangers (even if it was I would stillsee no issue). If it makes somebody happy and has sentimental value I don't understand what the problem is

I think it's a lovely idea. But then I am lentil weaving inclined. If it disgusts you then don't get one.

It's not the sort of thing I would do but so what - only the wearer would know anyway! I wouldn't say it was disgusting.... but it is unusual I think

It looks pretty but the idea behind it is a bit imo, each to their own though

I have a pendant made with my step-dad's ashes which isn't to some people's tastes but I like it and it means a lot to me. Because of this, I won't judge or turn my nose up at breastmilk jewellery. I don't see anything disgusting about it. It's just a reminder of an important part of the wearer's life.

Not sure I'd wear one myself, but I can see why someone might like one. A quick google shows etsy sellers do diy kits for under £30 - I think I'd be more tempted at that price, considering I'd be literally making the main element of the jewellery either way!

I plan to get some made when I hit 1 year breastfeeding my twins. I want a tangible reminder of what I have achieved - establishing breastfeeding with my 26 weeker twins who spent 16 weeks in NICU and came home on oxygen and managing to feed for a year.

I'm still breastfeeding my 18mo and as cheesy as it sounds feel as though it has been a journey with a tough beginning and different challenges at various stages.

I don't have one but can see the attraction...although maybe just because I'm still in that stage. I don't think it's so different to people getting jewellery with their children's names/DOB.

It's not for me at all, but then I don't understand why anyone would want ashes incorporated into jewellery. The don't get it but I don't find it gross either, just a little strange.

Breastfeeding my DD has been a HUGE accomplishment for me, and a main part of my life for nearly two years. I wanted a momento of the fact I had everything to sustain my tiny, underweight dd, in my own body, it was like magic elixir, even midwives doubted it would be enough for her but it was.

What's it for? The pieces are all fugly with or without breast milk.
I love the disclaimer that it could turn out a different colour because of your milk. Maybe a pink tinge from where your nipples are bleeding?

Could you not just freeze some and leave it at the back of the freezer?

I am way past breastfeeding now but saw that and had a little moment thinking actually it would be nice to had momentum of that special time/achievement. I don't really miss the actual feeding. But it was significant.

There is something quite gross about it. What other bodily fluids will they turn into jewellery next? A pearl necklace made out of spunk? Yuk.
