Donald's been quiet today. I thought he was going to mention the crowd size and media reports - but the soaring NY Times has quoted 9000.

Maybe he hasn't actually got anything to say?

Definitely 9,000 there. He cannot exaggerate this because there is a tweet from Melbourne Police official Twitter account. Not fake.

I find it interesting how people on the right claim that the left is not really tolerant and allowing freedom of speech because they do not want to share a platform with someone like Piers Morgan. Freedom of speech is simply the freedom to say what you want. I still retain the freedom to disagree with you and walk away if I don't want to listen.

But can he really just keep getting away with shrugging and saying 'well that's what someone told me. I've heard people say it' like he did when told that in fact his wasn't the biggest win since Reagan, and could he really be trusted by the people when he himself was saying things which are untrue. He just basically shrugged. And he is concerned about fake news? It's like someone said earlier (in one of these threads) all the accusations he throws around are actually about things that he himself is doing. He is judging all others by his own low standards of lying and skullduggery to get what you want. Of going after people who've done you down.

If he misheard/misunderstood Sweden but still threw it in as a little gem without first checking it was true... Well I just don't know, I really don't know what to say anymore... Shock Angry

He's probably having a meltdown that only 9,000 turned up. A third of the number from his campaign rally a few months ago. They offered free tickets to anyone that wanted them... lots of ads all over the place. And yet he didn't get the crowds he wanted. I also read that those there got bored and by the time he'd finished rambling it was half empty.

This by Mark Cuban - sums up DT to my mind...
"No self awareness, no situational awareness, can't admit mistakes, no leadership skills, can't stay focused," he wrote, adding, "No management skills, doesn't read, doesn't use tech and makes no effort to learn, only consumes analog media."

He then said Trump had "no attachments to other people (Ivanka=exception)." He added: "People are fungible to him. He doesn't care who stays or goes."

Nah, he'll have already re-formed it in his head and be tweeting lies again tomorrow. He's probably having a "well deserved break".

(And I have zero sympathy for him, but even for someone like him with less-than-optimal-awareness of the difficulties surrounding him, this must all be exhausting. He's no spring chicken after all.)
