I have instructed Homeland Security to check people coming into our country VERY CAREFULLY. The courts are making the job very difficult!

He's really laying on the whole 'blame the judge' thing. I'm a bit worried what will happen if there is an incident. Or if judges are going to get targeted now by trump supporters

GingerIvy · 05/02/2017 20:56

He's setting it up so that if the judge rules against him on Monday/Tuesday, he can blame the judge. Then he will make the push to get his pick into Supreme Court, which won't work, likely, and then he'll blame that if that goes against him too. Then he'll utterly ignore them and do what he wants.

Donald Trump launches outrageous attack on judge who stopped Muslim travel ban

Natsku · 05/02/2017 21:03

Oh hurrah, he has his phone back!

I was out on Friday night and got talking about Trump - people most liked the name "Twitler" out of the various ones I heard on these threads Grin

GingerIvy · 05/02/2017 21:04

Interestingly, I wonder if this attack on the judge combined with his defence of Putin might not be a step too far for some that were in his corner before.

AcrossthePond55 · 05/02/2017 21:16

I fucking hate the way he puts 'Enjoy!' after he tweets his upcoming TV appearances like he's a fucking waiter putting my dinner plate in front of me. Can the man be any more undignified? Oh, wait, yes I suppose he can be, and probably will be.

cozietoesie · 05/02/2017 21:34

The reason I say that is that of the three people I know who watched the Inauguration, all three (OK- I know 100 % is a HUGELY stat) but all three were watching it simply so that they could tell their kids 'I was watching it when X happened'. ( With a side dish of a last glimpse of Obama.)

merrymouse · 05/02/2017 21:36

Well Trump is the man who still refuses to accept the innocence of the Central Park five, despite DNA evidence to show that the man who pleaded guilty is guilty.

Why would he respect the legal system now?

The question is how long the republicans are prepared to let this run on. I think what they need is evidence that the tide of opinion has turned among people who voted for Trump because they always vote republican and people who didn't like either candidate but took a gamble on Trump.

SafariSoGood · 05/02/2017 21:42

I watched the inauguration simply because I thought it would Never Actually Happen

I watched/listened and waited for the Ha moment - you didn't really think we'd let a giant wotsit run the USA?!

I'm still waiting ...

GingerIvy · 05/02/2017 21:44

He's placed himself in a win-win with that tweet. If something happens, he points the blame to the judge who let "them" all in the country. If nothing happens, he will claim it's because he ordered them to be "extra careful."

klassy · 05/02/2017 21:45

The problem is, "enjoy" is not far off the truth - many people are now waiting for his next tweet or statement, either to applaud or for the entertainment/shock value. The "clown" warning above is so apt.

klassy · 05/02/2017 21:45

This made me smile a bit though.

woman12345 · 05/02/2017 21:47

The "clown" warning above is so apt which was how that article described perceptions of Hitler in the early 1930s.

SanFranBear · 05/02/2017 21:49

I think that's supposed to be the Oval office as well Grin At least, that looks like the one in the West Wing which is where I got a lot of my US political knowledge came from... before this thread which has been such a great source of stuff.

Lweji · 05/02/2017 21:57

Some of the people in that 50-100 people rallying for Trump are carrying signs that say "Jews for Trump!"

It must be the same white people who've done the "Blacks for Trump" sign during his campaign. That a white person was holding.

PacificDogwod · 05/02/2017 21:59

SanFran, my eyes, my eyes! Shock
I wish I could unseen that...

SanFranBear · 05/02/2017 22:01

Hopefully this works? Made in 1997, but as the blurb says - still so very relevant today

f something happens, he points the blame to the judge who let "them" all in the country

Unless the person is American.

SanFranBear Grin Twas ever thus! Look at what the students in Ohio in the 1970s were facing down. And the draft, wasn't that to control the youth?
