Is it just me or is Trump's main argument to the court about the ban basically "divine right" ??? He just goes on about as president he has the right to make the decisions. That's pretty much it.

You know we were talking about astroturfing (previous thread)? Well this article on the Arkansas anti abortion law which would give men the right to veto women's abortions has the scariest below the line comments I've ever seen.

This is a British newspaper, and its comments section has been totally taken over by pro-forced-birth nutters. I have never seen such a concentration of them in one place. It's so out-of-kilter with general public opinion in the UK that I can't believe it's not a concerted cyber attack.

Well, Ginger, Trump's fan base is touting his election as 'the answer to prayer' so what you say about 'divine right' isn't so far off the mark, is it? I'm sure with his ego, Trump has no problem believing himself to be 'the chosen one'.

Since today is Super Bowl Sunday, DH and I have declared our house to be a 'Trump-free Zone'. No news or discussion about Trump allowed today. Too much free-flowing and 🍻 to make for a peaceable day. One of us would end up throwing a bottle through the TV screen!

So needless to say, I'll be depending on sly checks on you lot to keep me informed as to whether or not we need to load up the caravan and head North!

It looks like the White House is snubbing and sidelining CNN, buy wasn't CNN who had previously decided not to broadcast live addresses because of all the lies, so that they could present the actual facts as they speak?

I read somewhere that CNN was offered the fragrant Kellyanne Conway, instead of the VP, for interview today, but turned her down. I have no way of knowing if that is an "alternative truth".
