I suppose it comes down to if they think it will have a positive impact? For many people, it will be a negative impact. But just as long as it doesn't affect them, some people will be more than happy to see LGBT rights, attitudes towards Muslims, women etc eroded.

I have some experience and a telephone poll of that size would cost a fortune and take a ridiculous amount of time! Plus that is a pretty large proportion of the total number of voters in the constituency. It is rather unbelievable

I have also heard that telephone polls are now very difficult as many people are ex-directory, rules around cold calling have been tightened and many people barely use their landline.

FWIW I read this about political activist fatigue and self care because I was getting anxious about the public response to Trump's barrage of actions becoming weakened as it goes on, judging by my own feelings of being helpless.

And how to 'fix a poll' - ask YOUR readers to vote ONLINE via YOUR website and then publish the results.
