Problem with Britain Second video is that it would probably just reflect what has actually been said.

PausingFlatly · 05/02/2017 09:51

Oh god, I'd missed that about the shooting of Aung San Suu Kyi's legal advisor amid all else that's going on. Not good.Sad

Formerpigwrestler9 · 05/02/2017 09:52

Trump and his band of merry men are predators who almost can't help themselves, they see a wounded creature and they attack, America was wounded and they moved in for the kill

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/02/2017 09:53

I think we may need some sort of indicator about the ban - with ON or OFF showing, because it could get a bit confusing.

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 05/02/2017 09:55

The mass rapes of Rohingya minority women in Burma by Burmese soldiers is also Sad

Destinysdaughter · 05/02/2017 09:55

Trump's success or failure is hugely important for the rest of the world as it embolden others, France and Germany have elections this year and could easily go to the right. The Stoke by election will probably be won by UKIP and that means 2 MPs in Parliament. The left seem more reactive and the right have all the big ideas at the moment which a lot of fearful pp find reassuring.

And we thought 2016 was bad!

amispartacus · 05/02/2017 09:57

If I were a prominent leader, politician or influential, I would be wary of commenting on Trump. Your quotes could be used out of context, part quoted - and the rest of what you said ignored. Then Trump does something outrageous after you've done the interview.

Just to remind you

Lord Carey also applauds Mr Trump’s decision to put persecuted Christians at the front of the refugee queue.

Lord Carey should be asking himself "what would Jesus do?".

merrymouse · 05/02/2017 09:58

Yes Destiny and Bannon and Trump have specifically linked their success to Brexit and other Breitbarty causes.

merrymouse · 05/02/2017 10:00

Why is Carey writing for the Express? Is he on glue?

M0stlyBowlingHedgehog · 05/02/2017 10:00

I'm terrified that Nuttall will win Stoke. I think he will.

Daily Mirror article: Paul Nuttall in his own words. He is a vile, vile excuse for a human being.

Lweji · 05/02/2017 10:01

*And Dodd Frank was meant to stop that happening again - and Trump is ripping it up(

That's the kind of message that needs to get out. The sub prime issue affected all of us.

Yes, the economy had been doing fine, recovering from the last recesssion. What he's doing might make things look better in the short term but it is likely to end in a major recession. Even bigger because the US debt is quite high already.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 05/02/2017 10:02

Trump and his people are carpetbaggers

Destinysdaughter · 05/02/2017 10:05

Just checked my Twitter feed and I've got 20 new followers overnight!

And a few rude comments, never been trolled on Twitter before....Grin

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 05/02/2017 10:06

To be fair i am enjoying the bit where our 'politicians/voices' give an interview or write an article about how great the relationship is or how great Trump is

And then Trump does something or tweets something incredibly dumb or mean (thought i would use playground words incase he is reading Grin)

And then they look like a complete brown nosing twat

Can you imagine the look on Mays face the day after her meeting when he stopped immigration

It is my only tiny bright moment Sad when are they going to learn

To his followers trump has become a guru, a golden light surrounds him and he can do no wrong

BiglyBadgers · 05/02/2017 10:08

Yes! Yes! To this.

This is the main reason I went on the march yesterday. People who think this is something that is happening in America and doesn't directly impact on them are blind. Trump is fuelling the rise of the extreme right across the world. He has given them confidence to believe they can do it to and will have encouraged people to seriously vote for these right wing parties rather than dismissing them as a protest vote.

M0stlyBowlingHedgehog · 05/02/2017 10:09

Re. Stoke and Nuttall - Express and Breitbart are claiming polls show that a massive win by UKIP is likely... but look here! More fake news. Pollsters from reputable companies like Yougov reckon that a sample of 4000 in a telephone poll would be nigh-on impossible to achieve in a single constituency.

Ladbrokes is probably a better guide to be honest, Labour at 4/5, UKIP at evens (depressing, but I suspect is a fairly accurate representation).

Formerpigwrestler9 · 05/02/2017 10:09

Don't wonder why they can't see him as we do, they are in love and love is blind

M0stlyBowlingHedgehog · 05/02/2017 10:10

Sorry, didn't mean to derail - but I am worried about the Trump effect emboldening the far right over here.

BiglyBadgers · 05/02/2017 10:10

From what I understand destiny you haven't truly made it on Twitter until you have been formally trolled. You should probably have some sort of celebration Grin

amispartacus · 05/02/2017 10:11

And a few rude comments, never been trolled on Twitter before

I have. I went viral once after Dawkins replied to one of my comments. His view and my view were different. It involved Islam.

Oh - and I supported Laura K. Wow - my notifications went mad.

I have no doubt that prominent people only have notifications turned on for people they know.

Is it wrong to back UKIP with a bet even though you don't want them to win?
