(Of course Farage makes the list. But he has now failed 7 times to get a seat in the Commons. It cheers me up to think of his being repeatedly thwarted thus. Some of that list Have Actual Power or seem terrifyingly likely to gain some soon. Blarghleumph. [I know Farage is an MEP, but he does absolutely feck-all work & can't, IIRC, manage to get enough "dissenters" together to Bring Things Down From Within successfully either, despite talk of working with other fascists...])

The gutting of Dodd Frank is manna from Heaven for property developers (like Trump) and Wall Street Sharks. We're going to see another economic crisis and a real estate bubble and bust like in 2008. Hopefully this time the global economic community will escape the repercussions.

DH and I were wanting to downsize. Now we're staying put in our too big house on acreage we no longer really want to maintain. Because we now feel that we want to have the room for family if things really go to shit.

Destiny I wouldn't be at all surprised if Breitbart was behind the Berkeley uni rioting. Though it could also just be your standard student over excitement. It is a widely acknowledged tactic of Putin's government to find opposing sides of an argument and fan the flames of conflict. For example they funded a controversial festival and than also funded a load of protestors to stand outside protesting against the festival Hmm

Book burning has a history, doesn't it...You can see why they come for the intellectuals in revolutions, can't you.

I wonder how many people know even the basics of revolutions. How they started, how people were persuaded,how information was spread and how dissent was squashed.

It would not surprise me if agent provacateurs were present to give Trump an excuse to crack down on dissent. History tells us that happens. Infiltrate a group and then start riots.

It's scary. It's really scary when you can see it happening before your eyes. I guess authoritation regimes will never go away - it's just depressing the US seems to be going that way.

It's not like ISIS haven't done the same - they used video footage from Medal of Honor. Interesting company...
