What televisions do you have in your bedrooms?

I want to install a television in a bedroom that is independent from the set up to the main television in the lounge.

What size of television do you have? Do you have an Amazon Fire television stick or similar? Any recommendations? I don't want it to be massive, and I will be putting it on a stand rather than the wall. Any recommendations as to brands etc?

Then, what televisions do people have in general that are not too big?

Also none, I've never had television in the bedrooms. I actually don't really comprehend why people do.

To be fair though, the other TVs in the house, in both reception rooms are large.

32 inch smart TV.. Got Netflix, Nowtv etc built in.

I have a Sony smart TV 32inch. Not sure on the exact model as its a couple of years old. We only use it for netflix really.

In terms of make, I'd look at Sony or Samsung. We don't have a TV at all. Ds1 has a 32 inch Sony but he never watches it. Ds2 doesn't have one area at all. Both teenagers. I guess it depends how far away from the bed it is in terms of the size you want. Will you be needing an aerial installed? A smart TV will give you a lot of extra stations plus catch up and YouTube etc.

We've got a 32 inch Samsung on top of a cheat of drawers, just have freeview but have a firestick as well. It's the old main tv that went up when we got a larger one for downstairs.

We've just bought a new TV for lounge, so there's been swaps throughout the house as a result. Now got a 32" Sony smart in bedroom on a stand connected through a firestick and Netflix enabled through smart.

We now have 3 Sony smart in house, the newest one of which is 4K. It's 49" and the third one is 36" I think. DH uses that in his room for sports and ps4.

We don't have a telly in any other room than the living room. I hate feeling asleep with it on and my dc are too young for one (I'm not sure I want them you have one in their rooms full stop though I can't really explain why).
In our living room we have a 32" LG. We've had it about 6 or so years now. It's quite small but then we have the smallest, tiniest living room in the UK so don't need a big one dh disagrees.

And we don't have a TV in the bedroom either.

We also have a 32 inch on top of a chest of drawers and we use Sky multi room only, we have no aerial in it for free view

I have a 28" TV with a free view recorder but we never switch it on. Our DS has a 24" TV with the digital aerial and his xbox, I'm thinking of swapping the TV with ours though because at least he would use it!

I don't understand why people get sniffy about a TV in an adult bedroom. It's saved my sanity while breastfeeding. Mine is smaller than 32 (maybe 26?) and is on a pull out adjustable bracket thing from the wall.

Because it is wanted?!

Not that it's anyone's business - but the person using the room long term will be an adult family member with limited mobility who wants their own television so they don't have to worry about stairs - or competing with teenagers. And they will have a kettle too! They are having their own financial provision, hence wanting it separate.

But fine, sneer away at something that will make their life a little easier! Sorry I asked.

We have a 32" LG TV in our bedroom. TV in bed on a dark winters evening is my favourite thing.

I have a 19inch Toshiba smart TV with built in DVD, freeview and a Netflix account. The smart TV has the Netflix app and iplayer app as well as BBC news and weather and other kind of things i don't bother with.

No TV in any of the bedrooms - actually no TV at all.......!

47inch with skyq mini. Whenever we upgrade our lounge telly the old ones moves into our bedroom. Looking to upgrade the lounge next year, when we do, will have a 65inch in the bedroom.

We are massive film watchers, was going to build a cinema room when i feel pregnant with ds1, so our cinema room became his bedroom and our dream of a 90inch projector went out the window.

Ignore them OP. Btw, I find the bracket thing means it can be pushed against the wall out of the way or pulled closer/sideways for better viewing. Suck on that TV haters! Ha!
