And no, don't say it's delicious with cheese sauce. It's the cheese sauce you're enjoying. It's time we stopped letting this evil brassica take the credit for that dish.

No, beetroot claims that title.

MrsJayy · 12/09/2016 11:44

I quite like it without cheese sauce its much better than Brocolli that tastes like hedge Grin

peppercold · 12/09/2016 11:44

I like it and beetroot, now broad beans... 😷

peppercold · 12/09/2016 11:45

And I detest coriander alot.

MrsJayy · 12/09/2016 11:45

Urgh broad beans that has to be the winner

Ginkypig · 12/09/2016 11:45

I think you'll find that what your describing is mushrooms.
Tomatoes take the same title in the fruit category.

EdmundCleverClogs · 12/09/2016 11:46

You're wrong, very wrong. It's like you've never eating the vile thing known as celery Hmm.

I've never understood the issue with cauliflower, but then again I love sprouts as well....

Monochromecat · 12/09/2016 11:47

YANBU at all...

badtime · 12/09/2016 11:47

Cauliflower is mostly just boring, although I would never choose to eat it. Mushrooms (although not technically a vegetable) and beetroot are good contenders.

80sWaistcoat · 12/09/2016 11:47

Roasting it makes it taste nice - but roasting makes everything taste nice. Oil....lovely stuff.

Ginkypig · 12/09/2016 11:48

Oh yes celery. It holds no relevant place on earth.

I love Brussels and broad beans

badtime · 12/09/2016 11:48

I love broccoli, sprouts and broad beans.

DoinItFine · 12/09/2016 11:49

YANBU

Evil stuff.

Iwasjustabouttosaythat · 12/09/2016 11:49

Oh yeah celery! And don't get me started on mint...

OP posts:
MrsPear · 12/09/2016 11:49

Cauliflower is good as a curry with potato.

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 12/09/2016 11:49

I hated cauliflower too until I discovered how delicious it was when roasted.

RaeSkywalker · 12/09/2016 11:50

I love cauliflower!

I really don't like celery. And radish. Blergh.

MrsJayy · 12/09/2016 11:50

I like Brocolli stalks and leave the hedge

AdoraBell · 12/09/2016 11:51

Cauliflower is nice with lemon juice squeezed over it.

aubergine though, there is no excuse for that Envy

RebeccaWithTheGoodHair · 12/09/2016 11:51

runner beans - they can't be roasted, they absorb water and they are ALWAYS stringy. And my NDN give me a daily supply of the bastards (they also give me strawberries though!)

mostlyslowly · 12/09/2016 11:53

And no one mentions leeks? Slimy , snottery fucking things . And risotto? Pass me that bowl. I'll have all the cauliflower, and your other nasties if you solemnly promise I never have to eat those puke-making dirty evil things(oh, and parsley sauce) EVER again.

Yorkieheaven · 12/09/2016 11:53

Oh no love it. Much nicer than broccoli.

We had leeks last night with a joint and rosemary/garlic tatties. Delicious.

Forgot how lovely leeks are Grin

acasualobserver · 12/09/2016 11:53

I can eat cauliflower but I don't see the point of it. It tastes like something grown to feed livestock. Beetroot tastes like earth - you might as well have a spoonful of soil.

Yorkieheaven · 12/09/2016 11:53

mostly no leeks are so so tasty Smile

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 12/09/2016 11:54

We had leeks last night with a joint

Odd snack as a smoking accompaniment, but hey!
