I like them all but I've finally admitted that I'm really not bothered about cucumber. Well anything watery and similar really ie courgettes, marrows and pumpkins.

Pumpkins once a year get incredible coverage. Then everyone remembers how pointless that are and they slink off...until next time .

I make nice 'pumpkin' soup, but it only tastes nice because of everything else but the pumpkin takes all the credit Pumpkins are sneaky like that. That's why they have evil faces.

I've made my peace with cauliflower in the last few years (I'm 41).

Great in curries. It likes cumin, especially in seed form.

Celery is nice roasted and smothered in cheese sauce. Just saying.

I love all veg except courgette and aubergine which makes it all the more unfair that I'm so bloody unhealthy

I like raw cauli dipped in ranch dressing.

I love beetroot. I gave it to 8 month old DD for the first time yesterday and she put it in her mouth then started crying. First time she's had that reaction to anything.

The smaller the better though. The big ones are quite shite.

If you want cauli at its best, try romanesco, which is just sweet and lovely - admire the pretty fractal patterns on its surface before cooking, though.

Broad beans, runner beans, sprouts, purple sprouting and curly kale are the all time favorite veggies in this house.... My 2 yr old won't eat anything else but sprouts, cauliflower and broccoli at the moment, she's been like it for weeks and yes smells lovely(not).
The rest of my daughters and I would live on the rest of it... Hubby's not too keen on the kale though.
Love the way my children 14,12,6 and 2 yrs would rather eat these veggies than pizza, nuggets ect.

I didn't get olives until I was 30, now I love them. That's one of the reasons we keep getting the kids to retry different foods, your tastes change one day you might suddenly understand why aubergines are heavenly.

Having said that I don't think I will ever like broad beans.
