To kiss DC on lips?

Victoria Beckham has come under fire for kissing her daughter Harper (5) on the lips.

I remember kissing both my parents on the lips until I was about that age then grew a bit "nah, don't fancy that anymore" so didn't do it anymore. Parents just took my lead.

What do you think? Creepy and weird (as some on social media seem to think) or not?

I kiss my kids.

They are my children and it's a peck not a full on smooch.

I actually avoid kissing ds at the moment as he does the open mouth slobber bit but when starts doing proper kisses we will carry on

I am often covered in drool from my 1yo more or less licking my face with her slimy baby kisses.

My 12 and 14yo ds just give me a peck on the cheek now, but my 6 and 8yo dd's often pucker up for a smacker Grin

I kiss both of my children on the lips, DD is 20 months and DS is 6, what a crazy sexualised world we live in. Definately not creepy or weird

I kiss my 9 year old ds on the lips every morning when we say goodbye for school or when he goes to his dad's. It's a show of love and affection and there's nothing sexual about it. It's wrong to even suggest that there is. Anyone who thinks that kissing their children is weird, is weird.

I kiss mine on the lips too but even if you don't and choose not to I think your attitude to it should be like NicknameUsed and it be a case of each to their own. VB has had some horrible things said, pervert etc, which is just madness

I kiss lots of the members of my family on the lips, my sisters, my baby, sometimes my mum. My niece kisses me on the lips even when I offer a cheek. Grin

I kiss DD on the lips. Any one who could sexualise that, is quite frankly, a sick pervert fuck and probably the same people who think sharing a bath with your kids is weird.

It's fucking ridiculous. I kiss my 3 year old on the lips and if anyone finds it 'weird' then that's their issue, not mine. I obviously wouldn't if he didn't want to and will stop when he's a bit older. There's nothing sexy about kissing a mucky little kid.

My mum kissed me on the lips. I kissed my daughter on the lips - we were still doing that when she went to uni because a colleague of mine saw us and thought she was my partner - it wasn't a snog, it was a tiny little split-second kiss.

I kiss dd on the lips, and will continue to do so until she decides she doesn't want to. How utterly bizarre that anybody would find that odd.

If a mother has it, a child is going to have it. Something like 70 - 90% of the population have it.

I think it's weird people find this weird tbh.

I felt really upset when my OH said he thought I shouldn't kiss our newborn on the lips. It felt like he was saying there was something creepy or sexual in it. His family isn't affectionate in the way my family is, they're not kissy huggy people.

Although I felt hurt, it didn't stop me kissing our DS, who is scrumptious and just too kissable. And now that our DS is giving us big (open mouthed!) kisses, my OH is becoming a lot more relaxed and comfortable about it, too.
