To kiss DC on lips?

Victoria Beckham has come under fire for kissing her daughter Harper (5) on the lips.

I remember kissing both my parents on the lips until I was about that age then grew a bit "nah, don't fancy that anymore" so didn't do it anymore. Parents just took my lead.

What do you think? Creepy and weird (as some on social media seem to think) or not?

WeDoNotSow, why would it be extremely like that your children have it if you have avoided doing something that is likely to pass it on? They need to get enough of the virus on a broken skin or mucous membrane, you don't get it from living with someone, or using the same cups, cutlery or towels.

Yep, DS (9) and I kiss each other on the lips. Also on the cheeks, forehead, top of head. He still likes kissing tickles on the neck, back, tummy, feet. I'm sure he won't want kisses at all once he hits a certain age, so whilst he's happy for me to, I'll kiss him anywhere and everywhere. Other than the areas his pants cover, obviously.

Granny, using the same cups, cutlery and towels is exactly how you can catch it.
How can you think it's not?!?

Lip kissing here too and my DD is 18!!!
That pic of Posh and Harper is just gorgeous!
The world has gone even madder than it was before.

Nhs recommends avoiding sharing things like cutlery. I also think that children are likely to pick up the virus if someone else in the home has it.

I have never heard of CMV before. I'm pregnant with my second and worried as I love giving DS kisses on his chubby cheeks/ head and yes lips.

I still kiss my parents on the lips and in my mid thirties and I kiss my ds and will do until he doesn't want to anymore. Nothing wrong with it and have to be a bit odd to think there is

I kiss mine on the lips. If people find it weird then I think it says more about them than it does about us.
