Yes, that would help! 35 now, 36 at the very youngest if I ever get round to reproducing!

I was 37 when I conceived DD, almost 38 when I had her. Lots of my friends having them in their late 40's and 40's. I'll have another if I can.

Snap! Just found out I'm pregnant again at 37 and I'm fretting about everything from health risks for baby to the fact I will be nearly fifty when this one leaves primary school. However also feeling blessed to be expecting again so a real contrast of emotions bubbling up!

Nope, 36 and 38 here and no one batted an eye at my age.

Had my DD at 35, she's now 6. People have kids over such a wide range of ages I really wouldn't worry. I'm certainly not one of the younger mums at school, some are maybe a couple of years younger them there's some who are a few years older than me.

A youngster - I was 36 going on 37 when I had DS1 and 41 when I had DS2. On the older side of average compared to most mums I meet but nothing out of the ordinary, in fact feel very normal (most of the the time). Though I did get asked if I was DS2's grandma once when he was about 3 (the poor person did go on to say they were used to meeting some very young grandmas - I found it funny she was mortified)

I had my daughter at 35.5 and feel a really young mum compared to a lot of the mums at school. We live in an area where women are quite career minded though. There are a lot of mums in our area have kids in their early forties. Xx

Don't worry, I was 39 when I had my last.

I also have a couple of friends with kids and grandkids similar ages! It depends on your circumstances but the ag range is very wide these days xx

Its rare around here to find a first time mum under the age of 35 (London) I was 31 when I had my first, many of the women at the toddler groups were 10 years older. Had my 2nd at 36 so a bit more in line with the school gate mums with my younger son.

My family up north thought I 'wasn't going to bother with kids' when I got to 30 and still hadn't reproduced! I was the second last one of all my school friends to have a baby. It all depends where you live.

I had ds1 at 40 and ds2 at 43. Does that help?

Oh and when I was in hospital having ds1, all the women in the labour ward with me were all 40 and over. We were making jokes about it being the geriatric ward.

Totally unreasonable! I'm same age as you and have a six month old. I have never felt like an old mum. Age is probably one of the last things mums should be worried about.

I had mine at 38 & 41 - I don't feel old at all and they are 15 & 17 now

No, don't worry. It's normal to be a first time mum in your late thirties and forties nowadays. We're different women now that we have discovered there is a lot more to life than being a house slave. So what if we want to live first and also make better choices in partners. :)

I had mine at 32,34 and 38 - I was not out of place at baby groups etc - most of my baby mates are my age - one had her first (and only) at 45 x

My DD is 9 weeks. I'm 44. Now THATS an old mum. Do I care? Not one jot.

I had my last at 45. I feel tired sometimes but he keeps me young!

I was two weeks shy of 38 when DS was born. My mum was close to 45 when she had me (my sister is 16 years older than me). I try to keep up with DS, now 4, as much as I can. We go running, jumping in puddles, get messy etc as much as we can. Sadly, I can't remember my mum playing with me. My father did when he was home, but he worked at sea.
