DH has just decided to 'wind down' listening to them tonight. I forgot he liked them, but have just been subjected to their 'greatest' hits. I genuinely forgot blocked out the trauma of just how crap they really are.

I saw them in oxford just before they were famous and they were shit. Twats and shit band. But there are a few great songs, mostly from the second album, and Noel's flying birds have their moments too.

I think Oasis and a whole bunch of other bands from that era or slightly later - Blur, Pulp, Coldplay - are all rubbish. I always found them all to be a bit whiny, samey and just a bit insipid.

Saw many of them live too, and they were all jus, meh.

Though, I listened to Nirvana and Guns n Roses in the 1990s, so when Oasis and co came along, they were just flat and unexciting in comparison.

At the time, I was a hip hop / house music girl, and couldn't have given a flying fuck about the whole Oasis v Blur, Britpop bollocks.

In retrospect, I like a few of Oasis' songs...but only a few. Champagne Supernova is my fave.

Like others have said, they had a handful of good songs, and they coasted on them. Both brothers are better known as mediocre Rent-A-Gob's than musicians these days.
