and women

its amazing isn't it :D

scaevola · 19/08/2015 12:27

According to BBC, it's been published only on the dark web (so far), so it might not be straightforward to check.

Shutthatdoor · 19/08/2015 12:28

Errrrr women too. Not just men that used/use that site Wink

EponasWildDaughter · 19/08/2015 12:30

I thought this was leaked a few weeks ago? Confused

BoredAdminGirl · 19/08/2015 12:45

Ooops sorry, my mistake!

Gloating about this while our information is being posted everywhere in just such a hack is vile.

AuntieStella · 19/08/2015 13:00

Someone announced it had been taken a whils ago, and threatened to publish.

That happened today: BBC article

AnnoyedParent22 · 19/08/2015 13:01

It's worse for the Ashley Madison crowd... apparently real names and addresses of members have been leaked.

I am not gloating per se but I agree with the OP that lots of men, and women, around the globe will be sweating today.

I wonder if they published to take the shine from Jeffrey.

nancy75 · 19/08/2015 13:06

Hardly the same as what has happened here, I doubt if many people in real life are all that interested in what I think about parent & child parking or lemon drizzle cake.

DJThreeDog · 19/08/2015 13:08

Vile?

Disagree.

ShakesBootyFlabWobbles · 19/08/2015 13:14

According to piston heads forum AM is 90% men 10% women, and lots of women's profiles were fake.

I can understand why people are comparing to mn leak because some people will be posting about triggering information, their own or partner's affairs, medical issues and sensitive issues, and this could become visible to all and sundry.

ShakesBootyFlabWobbles · 19/08/2015 13:15

Visible meaning can be linked to real life details on sensitive info.

Lavenderice · 19/08/2015 13:23

Well I for one don't believe in vigilante justice. Plenty of women on here have had admitted to affairs and talked about being the other women so if that's your thinking maybe them maybe we deserved to be hacked too.

NotMyMonkey · 19/08/2015 13:24

Wow, I had no idea that site even existed Shock

They are interested if they think the site demographic is such that users would have the same password across sites including ones which pay for things. Though of course, post-Heartbleed, I'd hope that the population of MN is a bit more savvy than the stereotype of middle-age female (lazy byword for group expected to have lax security).

TheRealNotSoSlimThrowsShady · 19/08/2015 13:39

No. The Dark Net scares me.

It took me 3 clicks to pinpoint where a particularly known MNer is posting from, no wonder she's so miserable, I would be if I lived in that particularly miserable North west town

Why on earth would you do that? Makes you no better than the hackers tbh.

It is bad enough that the info is out there, but for fellow mumsnetters to be using it to have a nosey, well that is just horrible.

Shockingly bad form.
