So mumsnet have recently changed the option to highlight both OP's and your own posts in a specific colour. They claim that only 8% of posters use this feature and hence it's unneeded.

I and some others disagree Grin So please if you would, can you answer the following questions for me? Either to protest the change or to support MNHQ, I don't mind, just interested in this 8%. Copy and paste your answer.

No discussion of the issue (if possible) - there are already two threads in Site Stuff about it. If you want to discuss it, here's one: Link

So firstly:
Do you use the highlight posts feature?

If yes
Yes, I tried it, but I didn't like it.
Yes, I use it on the desktop and mobile site but not the app.
Yes and I would like to keep it.

If no
No, I didn't know that you could do this.
Not interested in a highlighting option.
Only use the app and it's not an option on there.

Ta very much :)

Yuk Yuk Yuk

Give me back my colours!!!!!

Rummikub · 06/08/2015 16:52

Oh mines just changed. I haven't done anything and I'd had a lovely lavender before. Nice and calm, not the yuk green it is now.

Pericombobulations · 06/08/2015 16:54

Yes and I would like to keep it.

LindtSeventyPercent · 06/08/2015 16:54

Yes and I would like to keep it

fairnotfit · 06/08/2015 16:54

Christ, the OP's post has gone a putrid shade of greeeeeeen Sad

pointythings · 06/08/2015 16:54

Yes and I want to keep it - great on longer threads.

Andrewofgg · 06/08/2015 16:56

This is serious stuff. Let's have a petition for the recall of Parliament to discuss this very great national emergency.

AcrossthePond55 · 06/08/2015 16:59

Hey guys!!! Colours are back!!!

I'm PURPLE! I can breathe again!

pointythings · 06/08/2015 17:01

I'm suddenly purple too. And I picked pink, but I quite like the purple.

Inforabumpyride · 06/08/2015 17:02

Keep

SusanMichelson · 06/08/2015 17:04

The lavender is actually nice and subtle.

The arsenic green not so much.

Where is MNHQ's resident design expert? Can't you GET Farrow and Ball on this thing?

Wine
ErrolTheDragon · 06/08/2015 17:04

I suppose the lilac is OK, though it seems a bit similar to the MNHQ blue (unless that's changed too). The OP green is paler than I had it before, but acceptable.

ExitPursuedByABear · 06/08/2015 17:06

I was always lavender.

It's that puke green that's boiling my piss.

ErrolTheDragon · 06/08/2015 17:06

Can't you GET Farrow and Ball on this thing?

Oh no, we really don't need 50 shades of (tweely named) grey!

SusanMichelson · 06/08/2015 17:07

I would be content with Old Rope.

Rinoachicken · 06/08/2015 17:09

Yes and I would like to keep it

zoobaby · 06/08/2015 17:09

Yes I use it and want to keep it please.

321zerobaby · 06/08/2015 17:11

I didn't know about this feature, but now I do I would like to use it/ keep it. Thanks for drawing my attention to it.

PurpleDaisies · 06/08/2015 17:11

Lavender was always the default colour. I turned highlight posts on and never bothered with custom colours. I've always liked being purple.

BurningBright · 06/08/2015 17:15

Yes and I would like to keep it

Sherlockholmes221b · 06/08/2015 17:16

Yes - because had I known it existed I would have used it often and would like the opportunity to do so!

APlaceOnTheCouch · 06/08/2015 17:16

Yes and I would like to keep it.

PestoSwimissimos · 06/08/2015 17:17

I hate the green, it's foul, like a swamp!

TeaAndCake · 06/08/2015 17:18

Yes I use it and love it. Please keep it.

SenecaFalls · 06/08/2015 17:22

I just reported one of the posts on this thread to raise the issue of the green. The shade is just too bright and deep. It is hard to read black letters against a background like this. There is a wealth of information available about readability and color usage. Black letters need a lighter background.
