Hello just curious what would people say is the most stressful area of your life?

pregnantpause · 14/07/2015 21:45

Money or lack thereof

AnyFucker · 14/07/2015 21:46

my job

closely followed by the antics of my teenagers

eggyface · 14/07/2015 21:48

The feeling I get when work is too busy to get done in the time available, and therefore eats into time for sleep or self care. Especially bad is when it makes me think "Ffs DS, go to sleep because I'm SO busy". I hate being in the position where i am wishing away the time I have to spend with DS and even feeling angry with him because I feel forced to prioritise something other than him.

siblingrevelryagain · 14/07/2015 21:49

Dealing with the breakdown of my marriage (his affair) and relations with ex husband and his family.

I have a job, three young children to get to school & nursery (and football, and swimming, and parties etc), run the home and all that's associated with it, and this is the area that causes me the most stress.

ScooseIsLoose · 14/07/2015 21:50

Caring for my dd. I would be lost without her she's a joy but can also be bloody hard work

Charlie01234 · 14/07/2015 21:50

My mums dementia at the moment!

PinkSquash · 14/07/2015 21:51

Money or lack there of

fleamadonna · 14/07/2015 21:57

at the moment? an (as of yet) unresolved conflict at work. co-worker hurled abuse at me in front of customers and then shoved me. manager made aware this morning, so probably going to have to spend a lot of time recounting it all to him. if the co-worker isn't dismissed, work will just be a fucking joy from now on.

also DP's business just recieved a huge unexpected bill that will probably have the bailiffs at our door soon.

and ds1 is a teething, writhing, tantrum throwing terror.

oh and I'm pregnant.

yanbu, that feels better. thanks Grin

EatDessertFirst · 14/07/2015 21:57

Money. Trying to deal with DM stressing out over my wedding (that I'm pretty chilled about). Not javing enough time at the moment to just 'be' with my DC.

AuntieMeemz · 14/07/2015 21:58

Dealing with insane, control freak, wealthy in laws. Add to this 2 young children, husband with mental illness and a job with endless, endless deadlines, working under pressure, handling diverse workload-and getting a poor or threat of poor appraisal. I long to be a SAHM but in laws have us over a barrel financially. We either get rid of the lovely house we love, and tell them to stuff the money, and downsize, or continue to take the money and get bullied the whole time!

FleeBee · 14/07/2015 21:58

My mum's grief following my dad's recent death. I'm an only child & live 2 hours away. I'm struggling to help her & I feel dreadful

AuntieMeemz · 14/07/2015 21:59

Big hugs to all you wonderful people coping with sooo much. I thought it was just me!

ghostyslovesheep · 14/07/2015 22:01

trying to buy and sell my house/ a house

supposed to be moving in 2 weeks but can't get a definite date right now - it's so so stressful

chelle792 · 14/07/2015 22:03

Currently the hmrc and their continued cock ups since Jan nearly resulting in me losing my house

Mintyy · 14/07/2015 22:05

AuntieMeemz - downsize! fgs!

Froggio · 14/07/2015 22:05

Same as eggyface. and feeling out of control of everything at work and at home because work is so hectic.

I do count my blessings though that my family are healthy and we don't feel fear or hunger. I have felt 'stressed' before because of work but that became insignificant when DD was seriously ill. She's all better now.

DeeDee40 · 14/07/2015 22:06

God I was just going to say my job I need to stop moaning

Chipsticksnvinegar · 14/07/2015 22:06

Lack of money despite a "good" but demanding job
Demands of job - relentless
Worry about keeping everything I have - home/ job - until my current retirement age of 67
The Teen years
My mum is getting older, looks more tired and I worry about her decline when it comes (Dad already passed away 2 yrs ago but was older and ill for a short intense time)
Managing everything ON MY OWN all the bloody time due to feckless non resident parent (kids) and emotionally absent siblings (mum) I am tired of feeling done in at 48.

Sorry that was greedy and woe is me, but you did ask Grin

southeastastra · 14/07/2015 22:07

the unknown , waking up at 2am worrying about nothing in particular

Mintyy · 14/07/2015 22:08

Insomnia

My size

My mother

My husband

Constant feeling of having too much to do. Which I know we more or less all share.

keepingmum121 · 14/07/2015 22:08
  1. My mum has Alzheimers.

  2. I am devastated that the police decided on NFA for a serious crime I reported, and I have to endure the scorn and gloating of the perpetrator regularly.

FurtherSupport · 14/07/2015 22:11

This is going to sound ridiculous, but ATM, it's lack of stress!

I gave up a very demanding and successful career because I was just burnt out and for a year, it was great to be able to breathe and enjoy my family. Now, 3 years on, I am getting unreasonable distressed that my brain is turning to mush and I'm wasting my life on MN.
