I'm 28 weeks pregnant. I'm too hot. My hands are feet are like hot irons and it's already too damned hot for my liking.

Therefore, I'm doing a raindance and hoping for Arctic winds.

Nope. Not a fan of the really hot weather. I much prefer it cooler!

I don't think my DH quite gets how horrible this feels right now.

I also had my blood results back a couple of days ago and am told I have low iron which would explain how tired I feel. I also have a cold right now. And a stroppy 3.7 year old. Woe is me.

It's worse being pg on Winter. Your coat doesn't do up you can hardly reach your feet to put tights socks and boots on.

In summer it's all flip flops, loose skirts and a t-shirt/ vest.

(And yes I've experienced both)

I feel the same...I'm 34 weeks and struggling. I don't think it would be too bad if it wasn't so humid.

I've been sleeping in a cold, damp t-shirt with the fan on. Well I say sleeping, I mean tossing and turning trying to get comfy until I need a pee and it all starts again

Oh I preferred being pregnant in Winter! I had a lovely big coat so was fine. The thing is with Winter, you can put more on but right now even if I strip, I'm still too hot.

Am on hols in Seville. It's 40 + and I am loving it.

I keep seeing pregnant Spanish women and thinking omg how are you coping.

I feel your pain but love the hot weather now I am not pregnant. Sorry.

I was 2 thirds into a twin pregnancy one very hot summer 21 years ago. It was awful.

It's the humidity that gets you.

YANBU, I don't like the heat.

The humidity is horrible when you're pregnant and it's also awful while getting hot flushes due to menopause. Even my HRT can't stop me sweating so much that my clothes keep sticking to me and my sandals keep squelching under my feet - it's not attractive!

I feel the same Im going to a funeral next week and im going to be dressed in black including tights.

Eurgh, yes, I remember this. I gave birth at the end of July '13 and was extremely stroppy because of the heat. Apparently there wasn't a single paddling pool or fan to be had in the West Midlands as they'd all sold out - mainly to all my neighbours who all seemed to be splashing around enjoying them (the b*stards) at all times of day. I felt like crashing through the fences, like some kind of angry pregnant hippo, to get at the water...

28 weeks here too and not looking forward to it either, especially my daily commute/waddle into London for work. I think I will have to have many ice creams to help get me through it.

And I can't wear nice summery strappy tops without looking like a twat because of the all-encompassing, omnipresent nature of maternity bras.

Another 28 week London commuter! Thankfully my commute is so long that I get the big air conditioned trains but the 15mins on the Bakerloo is a killer Ice lollies st the ready!

When I gave birth to DS 16 years ago there was a heatwave in Britain . He spent his first month or so in nothing but a loosely attached nappy. Absolutely no piles of washing mounting up was the silver lining in that cloud.
Get yourself a free standing fan and one of those garden spray bottles that you can fill with clean water and spray a mist over your face. You can buy cans of cooling mist for when out and about.
Sitting with your feet in a bowl of slightly iced water is nice too.

Please don't do anymore rain dancing though!

I prefer being pregnant in the summer. I'm 29 weeks and loving this weather. I can wear thin clothes and vest tops, sandals that my swollen feet can fit into and keep cool by drinking cold drinks, eating lollies and fanning myself.

I'm not a fan of winter anyway but being pregnant in it sucks. A coat that doesn't fit, uncomfy shoes/boots, slippery wet pavements (i slid over at 38 weeks with my youngest on wet leaves) and trying to move my bulk around in thick layers of uncomfy clothes (for some reason i can't stand fabric touching me when pregnant).

I'm 28 weeks, and a Scot in exile in the South. It's too damn hot. I'm getting grumpier with my students and more and more uncomfortable. 3 weeks 2 days to the summer holidays though.

I'm not a fan of the heat either, so also hoping it isn't as hot as they say it will be as I have to wear uniform at work and it is hot and horrible. My work trousers have that horrible rubber lining in the waist which gets wet and horrible when it is hot.

The only time I like the heat is when I am on holiday abroad and can jump in the pool to cool off.

I feel your pain. Am 37 weeks And the heat is a struggle although I usually love it. Trying to see the upside; means I can out to the parks with 2.8yo dd instead of being cooped up inside trying to entertain her

I do sympathise though, was very hot when pregnant with DD in summer 2006.

YANBU! 33 weeks here and dreading the commute next week!

I was pregnant with DS1 during the crazy snow storms of Winter 2010. I was 5-6 months pregnant and already absolutely massive! I was so scared I would slip over on the ice/snow I stayed inside for 6 weeks!!!

I much preferred being pregnant with DS2 during Spring/Summer :)
