I'm 28 weeks pregnant. I'm too hot. My hands are feet are like hot irons and it's already too damned hot for my liking.

Therefore, I'm doing a raindance and hoping for Arctic winds.

Aha, did manage to get a good night's rest. DH had the foresight to get an air con unit months ago and we left it on all night. I just now need to not look at the electricity bill. Gulp/

You have my sympathy! I an 39 +1 with an iron deficiency so even with tablets I feel exhausted!

I also have a toddler at home who will insist o playing in the garden all week. What I need is some handsome, barely clothed men to fan me, bring me cold drinks and snacks and assist me off my sun lounger every time I need the loo! (That's roughly every 30 minutes!)

Good luck op!

I'm 29+1 too and OMG this heat is doing me in again, we had that record year when dd1 was born (at 11 days over in the September), dd2 was another hot summer (born 6 days over in July). I'm a cake maker too and still have 12 more orders to do (6 are weddings) before this one is due :( I'm praying the heat stays away for another 4 weeks at least, just to get the most stressful cakes out of the way :/

I was pregnant in the heatwave of 2006 and it was fucking hell. Freeze a couple of small bottles of water then place them in front of your fan so the air hitting you is cooled.

We have (half seriously) discussed the possibility of moving to Canada, just to get away from the stupid bloody sun

Canada has hot summers. In the east anyway, I don't know about the rest. My mum moved to the UK because she hated the extremes of hot and cold!

We're going there in three weeks and I fully expect to melt. Currently panic-buying linen shirt and trousers in a size too big because I'm a heat-hater too and my normal British summer-wear of vest top and jeans just ain't going to cut it.

YABU. I've had two summer babies. There's honestly nothing worse than shivering in the middle of the night because you've woken up with sickness and end up hugging the loo whilst freezing, not bring able to move to get a blanket.
I used to pop my feet in a bucket of cold water. I don't mind the heat though. I had some wonderful maternity dresses which made it so easy to get dressed in a morning.

Urgh, I agree with you. I'm not pg. This is too hot for me now, so I am dreading the heatwave. I like the sunshine, but hate the heat. I had three cool showers yesterday and it wasn't even close to heatwave temperatures. Roll on the Autumn!

27 weeks, commuting and no cool maternity clothes. On Wednesday I have to spend 5 hours in a small stuffy room going through bids with 5 other people. Still being sick which gets worse in the heat. Dreading it is an understatement!

I normally love the heat but I'm 21 weeks now and felt far too hot today when it was just 20 degrees! So I'm not looking forward to next week at all.

I'm hoping the forecasts are wrong too. DD is doing practice silver DofE expedition at the weekend - walking over 20km for 3 days carrying big rucksack, camping 2 nights and forecast is for the heat plus heavy rain and thunderstorms.

I was feeling sorry for her till I saw this thread, all you expecting at the moment. Flowers
