To take pride in my stinky farts?

Ok, so I apologize for the TMI, but I have ALWAYS been a super smelly farter. It runs in my family. My mum has the stinkiest farts ever and so do me and my sister. I know it isn't an intolerance, and I do all the things that have been suggested to minimize it, but it's just the way I'm made.

When I was younger I was embarrassed by it, but then I decided that if I can't help it then I shouldn't be ashamed. So now I take pride in the fact that I can stink DH out of a room even though he's a big burly bloke and I'm little petite me. Even when he loads up on Guinness and pub food he can't compete with my stink. The best part is that mine are almost always silent so I will slip them out without him noticing and then laugh like crazy when it hits him.

So, I have to ask, is anyone else like this??

Personally I find it repulsive and don't find farts amusing at all.

Nothing funny about farting and making others breathe it in. I honestly find it revolting and not funny at all.

Must also be a complete turn off for your husband even if he doesn't say anything. If my husband did this I'd leave him, I'd find it completely disrespectful.

I can't stand people doing smelly farts near me. Excuse yourself if you need to - I actually find it a bit violating. It's fine if it's an occasional accident and I don't mind loud ones at all but it would be serious issue for me if dh found it amusing - it would be disrespectful.

I'm all for bodily autonomy and not being ashamed of natural secretions and functions but your gratuitous pleasure in this is unreasonable and childish.

Hasn't there been a scientific report recently declaring that breathing in farts is in some ways a healthy thing?

Personally, i'd rather find other ways of improving my health than breathing in farts.
I guess this is only funny if your DH finds it funny. I find toilet humour pretty funny, but would be really pissy about someone farting at me. Grin

but what are you meant to do when you need to fart? you can't keep jumping up and running out of the room!

Just to clarify a few things:

Yes, I am an adult woman!

I don't always intentionally fart around DH, in fact I probably leave the room most of the time. When I purposefully do it around him it is more of a playful joking thing, or because he is doing something that annoys me.

I am also much more discreet in public or around anyone that is family or close friends. I really try not to be the rude person who lets them out in shop aisles, but there are occasions when I can't help it.

I have a lot of wind with IBS. I have no problem farting around DH, but no, I wouldn't be proud of a smelly one. It happens sure but it is not something I would brag about or be proud of.

I don't leave the room every time as I do countless every hour. But if I think they are going to be smelly I would try to move away at least.

Dear lord people, everyone farts! I am particularly potant at the moment due to pregnancy. Love an excuse to parp away and laugh like a kid about it. Having a dog is useful in these situations though, so can pretend to be proper, and British in these situations.
