To be upset over what these so called Friends have done today?

I've namechanged as I feel a bit upset and embarrassed.

A workfriend asked if I wanted to meet up this weekend at a soft play centre, and then said another colleague was coming too, which was fine with me.

Yesterday evening they each sent me texts saying that they can't go. One said she was ill, the other said her husband was off work so they were going out. Fair enough.

However one of them has just checked in on FB at a cinema, tagged the other one and said they're having "a great day out with the kids".

Charming!

I'm pissed off. The second colleague that was invited along cannot bear people to be friends with each other, she wants to be involved in everything, so I am assuming it was her doing.

Won't be organising anything with either of them again!

Bitches. Are you going to call them on it?

ChasedByBees · 10/05/2015 11:38

Definitely call them on it. How stupid are they, tagging each other in Facebook?!

TheTravellingLemon · 10/05/2015 11:39

Just like the check in!

AliceLidl · 10/05/2015 11:39

That's really shitty of them both OP.

I'd comment underneath but I'm not sure what I'd say.

OneMagnumisneverenough · 10/05/2015 11:39

Is the one having the day out the one who's OH was off so they are having a family day out?

NotYouNaanBread · 10/05/2015 11:39

Definitely call them on it. Be as passive aggressive as you like about it. What absolute bitches.

MrsCampbellBlack · 10/05/2015 11:40

I'd comment 'glad you're feeling better - have fun'

But I am terribly passive aggressive.

AuntyMag10 · 10/05/2015 11:40

Really nasty of them given they know you are on Fb too! I agree call them on it and cut your losses.

Nolim · 10/05/2015 11:41

Agree with a passive agressive comment.

JellyJamJam · 10/05/2015 11:41

I've liked it and said for them to "have a fantastic time".

And from now on I'll be cool but polite with them both and will never ever be making any plans with them again

OP posts:
hotfuzzra · 10/05/2015 11:43

I'd do my own post saying 'Close call, got out of hellish day with snarky people. Now enjoying my own lovely weekend.'
Then defriend.

ShouldIworryornothelp · 10/05/2015 11:43

I'd call them out on it.

Nasty bItches!

GraysAnalogy · 10/05/2015 11:43

I'd have said 'thought this was cancelled?'

The fuck puppets.

EmeraldThief · 10/05/2015 11:44

I wouldn't usually encourage passive aggressive FB comments, but I think this warrants a response, as arsey as possible. Something like "oh you lot made a miraculous recovery then, so nice if you all to univite me then go behind my back". Just so all of their friends can see what a bunch of cunts they are.

greeneggsandjam · 10/05/2015 11:46

Maybe it was the one who's husband was off work going out for the day and sending that message to the other one at home ill??

giraffesCantPluckTheirEyebrows · 10/05/2015 11:49

cows

Why the fuck do people behave this way?! Unnecessary and rude. Sorry OP, but at least you know who you're dealing with now.

Hope you have a good day anyway.

MrsSheRa · 10/05/2015 11:53

Good for you Op.

What a pair of idiots!! I feel like they wanted you to know aswell, otherwise why would they stick it on Facebook. That's even worse!

Absolute playground behaviour. Being cool, polite and never arranging anything again with them is absolutely the way to go. Twats.

Marynary · 10/05/2015 11:53

I'm confused. Are they both at the cinema together?

Koalafications · 10/05/2015 11:53

I just don't understand stuff like this, it's like being back in Secondary School with some people.

MrsSheRa · 10/05/2015 11:54

hotfuzzra I love that. Smile

ThePinkOcelot · 10/05/2015 11:55

How nasty!! What a pair of bitches!

OurGlass · 10/05/2015 11:55

I just don't understand stuff like this, it's like being back in Secondary School with some people.

Exactly. So bitchy,

SwirlyThingAlert · 10/05/2015 12:22

Utter cows. They're no friends of yours. I'm not one for passive aggressive crap on Facebook, but even I couldn't let that one slide.
I'd like the photo and say "oh good, looks like you've made a quick recovery. Have fun."
Glad you said something. Definitely wouldn't be arranging ANYTHING with them in the future, and would still be civil and polite but putting a distance between us!
