For me it was the woman who's DH used to withdraw food from her as punishment and she had to eat pizza out of the bin.
I often think of her and whether she managed to leave him. Marvinishungry I think her name was. If you are reading this, I hope you are safe and happy now.

What have been the threads that stayed with you that you wish you had updates for?

OP posts:

The one with the neighbour who had their parcel (a jumper)/and would give it back. The neighbour then pegged jumper on their washing line.

ursuslemonade · 28/04/2015 13:03

I remember that. Pretty grim...
I wonder sometimes about the poster whose sister and bil neglected their own daughters and they went to live with her.

YANAgurl1973 · 28/04/2015 13:03

*wouldn't give it back

Fairy13 · 28/04/2015 13:05

ursus I have a horrible feeling I remember that one turning out to be fake...

The one about the lady who was living with her inlaws & she'd worked out that the MIL was peeing on her toothbrush, as well as other stuff like moving her car mirror, slagging the op off to her kids & serving her tiny portions of food.

The one from ages ago about the family on holiday where the dad shouted at the little boy and made him give the balloon dinosaur back because the boy was being silly like the entertainer was. That was a horrible thread if real.

HereIAm20 · 28/04/2015 13:15

The lemon drizzle cake saga!

Allstoppedup · 28/04/2015 13:15

Ahh nerr I had just given birth to my first when I read that and cried my eyes out.

I'm pregnant with my second now and the memory is making me all teary. It was really sad to read. I just wanted to cuddle that little boy and give him a HUGE dinosaur balloon!

KettleCrips · 28/04/2015 13:18

I was Marvin.

Not a great resolution I'm afraid but better. I married him. Which, whilst not the great romance of the century stopped him threatening to throw me out of the house, and witholding money from me. I passed my driving test which gave me some independence. And I've got a minimum wage p/t job which was originally just weekends, but now some weekday hours too. So I'm in a betterposition. Just not a great one. We're currently living in separate rooms and negotiating a separation.

I need to get enough money together to move out, fund a rental, move etc but it's taking a long time as I'm on minimum wage. Approaching local housing dept of the council was useless. They basically just referred me to private lets. So, I'm slowly getting some money together and just getting by.

It's not great. We're not talking to each other so when I'm not in work, I've only got my small son to talk to and then I'm hiding away upstairs all night to avoid him. But it's better. I have a car. I have a job and a debit card and my own money. It's just very hard.

The secret of the shed that a MNer was not allowed to go in.

spiderlight · 28/04/2015 13:22

The shed! Yes!

Also last week's thread about the poster with terrible abdominal pains on the train who was palmed off by various medics and then disappeared. I hope she's OK and just laid up recovering from an appendix op.

FarFromAnyRoad · 28/04/2015 13:22

I always wonder about the garage that the OP wasn't allowed into. Did she ever get in? Was there a body? Will she ever come back?

BunnyLebowski · 28/04/2015 13:25

The relatively recent one where the poser was married to a complete twunt who wanted to go to Africa to be a football coach for peanuts.

I hope she's ok.

DinosaursRoar · 28/04/2015 13:28

Kettle - sounds like you've having a hard time still. Hope things start to improve.

I wanted to know about the woman last year who'd only put down one choice on her DC's school application - as that was the only school she'd accept - was annoyed she'd then been offered one that was miles away, not one of the other closer schools, and had declined her place and thought she could force the council to give her the school she wanted. Always wondered what would happen to her DC.

CloserToFiftyThanTwenty · 28/04/2015 13:29

The recent one about the poster who wanted to email the "should have been love of her life" two days before his wedding to declare her love for him

Oscarandelliesmum · 28/04/2015 13:29

There was a horrible one about a lady who agreed to go to Saudi with her dh (who was from there) and DC. When she got there she found herself basically a prisoner, her D's taken to in laws, with no money for food or nappies. Hope she got outSad

Gruntfuttock · 28/04/2015 13:30

"The relatively recent one where the poser was married to a complete twunt who wanted to go to Africa to be a football coach for peanuts."

Thanks for the mental image of peanuts playing football. Smile

DextersMistress · 28/04/2015 13:31

this had huge potential to end up in classics but op never updated Sad

ilovesooty · 28/04/2015 13:31

The current one where the poster has a potential dismissal meeting today.

I don't somehow think she'll come back to tell us about that.

parsnipbob · 28/04/2015 13:32

The awful one recently with the poor lady whose emotionally abusive DH found her thread on here and then walked out of the house with her baby. She got baby back but then posted to say he'd seen the thread and she was taking it down as she didn't want to cause more trouble.

I was in tears reading that thread. I think of her often and hope she is ok.

Oscarandelliesmum · 28/04/2015 13:35

Parsnip, that one was awful, poor thing.

WhatchaMaCalllit · 28/04/2015 13:36

The thread about the MIL who booked flights to attend a christening she wasn't invited to...there are loads of MNetters waiting on an update to that one!!!!

ImperialBlether · 28/04/2015 13:39

The one whose husband wanted to give up his job (as a lawyer, I think) to become a lion tamer.

Cheesymonster · 28/04/2015 13:40

The one where the op's teenage son wanted to move to America for six months to live with a girl he'd been corresponding with online.
