To ask what threads you wish you'd had an update for

For me it was the woman who's DH used to withdraw food from her as punishment and she had to eat pizza out of the bin.
I often think of her and whether she managed to leave him. Marvinishungry I think her name was. If you are reading this, I hope you are safe and happy now.

What have been the threads that stayed with you that you wish you had updates for?

The woman who was going on holiday to Australia ahead of a possible permanent move there. She didn't want to go but her husband seemed quite insistent. As mentioned up thread she went against a lot of good advice by going on the holiday and I hope it did just turn out to be a holiday and she wasn't forced into a permanent move there.

There was also a woman whose husband was apparently staying at a hotel the night she posted but she hadn't been able to get hold of him and the hotel didn't have a booking in his name. I hope whatever the outcome was it was better than seemed likely.

I was thinking about the grammar school place appeal poster last week as MN was full of threads about school places and appeals. Would love to know if she won her appeal, and if the DC went to the grammar in the end.

There was a thread a while back about a woman who thought someone had been coming in her flat as odd things were happening like curtains on the floor, I do wonder what happened?

My DH just the other day asked about the MN with the DH who's home office was in the garage and he became very secretive denying her access. My DH is still desperate to know what was in the garage.

Mine is from many years ago a MN posted about shagging her boss at the Christmas party and then went onto having a full blown romance with him. I would love to know if they lasted.

Someone was on holiday with her dp/ex dp and it was all going pear shaped, I think they split up on the holiday maybe and she was posting from the balcony or roof of the apartment or something like that???

The lady whose husband wouldn't let her in the garage is still in the relationship and nothing has changed, she updated one of these threads a while ago. She still hasn't been in the garage.

Usually these sort of threads don't interest me at all but there was a long running one about a woman who was convinced someone was spying on her in her bathroom as there was a certain noise that occurred every time she went in there day or night. It was properly intriguing , I was hooked!

The mumsnetter whose DH spent about 4 hours a day drying himself with two hairdryers after his showers (2 hours morning, 2 hours evening). Her life was run around his weird routine.

The one where the OP's SIL invited herself over to stay at her chalet with her friend. SIL then proceeded to be really rude, get off with ski instructors in the jacuzzi, drink all the champagne and deliberately damage stuff. The MIL denied that her daughter had done anything wrong. OP refused to drive them to the airport during the night with her young children. Dying to know how he dynamics of the ILs are now.

The young mum being horribly financially abused by her arse of a DP. He would take the last pound from her purse and still expect her to pay for the kids food. She talked about having separate trollies and how he expected her to pay for all food for the kids

The lady who's husband was propositioned by a librarian and agreed to go to a concert with her. Did he go? Did she make a move on him? Did the OP ever go to the library again?

Also not seen Karen Toadslayer around for a bit, I do hope Toad hasn't wormed his way back in to her life/house.......

There was a thread a while ago that I was 'involved' with. I was updated by pm a while after and the thread had the worst outcome imaginable. I was very appreciative to the person who pm'ed me, as I would always be wondering that happened to that poster... A desperatly sad situation....

regular I think I know the woman stuck in Germany but there's been a couple - which do you mean?

LadyFlumpalot I think the army wife was lavenderhoney. She's in the UK now.

I'd like to know about the compulsive liar husband who told his entire family he had cancer when he didn't. His mum had moved out of her house because he said he'd won money and was going to buy a new house. The OP found out he's been lying about everything for years but it was taking ages to get to the bottom of it all.

The young woman who developed a pulmonary embolism from taking the contraceptive pill and her boyfriend refused to come and see her when she was released from hospital because he had a bike ride planned. Hope she dumped that dickhead.

There was one a few months back where the OP's son was being stalked by his ex girlfriend. She was spying on him and his new gf, turning up at both of their houses, she had faked a pregnancy and OP's son had reported the ex to the police and the hospital where she worked. I wonder if she has finally left them alone.

There also one where the OP's son was getting naked baths with his grandad and grandad was insisting on bathing and washing the boy who was about 5/6 iirc. I wonder if OP every reported it or stopped contact.

I'm not sure it was LavenderHoney, seventeen but thank you for the suggestion. I've just looked over her threads and it doesn't ring true for the scenario I remember. I'm fairly sure that the lady I remember was living in or around one of the Wiltshire camps in married quarters. I got the impression that her husband was of a low rank, not someone to be working out of the UAE. Thanks anyway though!
