Yes, Frasier was pretty damn good but it lacked a certain edge to it. Maybe the uniqueness of George and Kramer? I can't think of a single Seinfeld episode I thought was boring. I pretty much remember every scene on the show.

Frasier is more my taste, but my favorite sitcom is Parks and Rec, I think.

I tried watching Seinfeld a couple of times. Thought Taxi, Ellen, Frasier, Cheers, Newhart and yeah, Friends were superior American sitcoms in every way.

Without doubt the best ever sitcom, George costanza is without exception the funniest character ever to be created. Their would have been no 'friends' without Seinfeld.

'The limo' that is all.

YANBU. It's my favourite show!! Well maybe after Gilmore Girls.

YANBU!! I have all 9 series on DVD. Never fails to cheer me up. My ex introduced me to it, I found the first few episodes we watched very meh. Then we watched The Puffy Shirt, and then The Soup Nazi....and it was like a switch clicked and I realised how utterly brilliant it was.
I can't think of any other characters in sitcoms who are so flawed and real, apart from maybe Mark and Jez in Peep Show. Maybe. Or Niles and Frasier actually.

And Elaine is one of those rare female sitcom characters who isn't underwritten and reductive and annoying.

Love when Kramer adopts a Highway.

Curb your Enthusiasm is a sort of spin off. Would highly recommend.

One of my favourites is when Jerry and Kramer swap apartments and then take on each other's personalities.

But seriously - yes it is the greatest sitcom ever. When I was off with my smashed elbow, they were just starting the series on Sky and showing about 6 programmes in a row each day so I just watched the whole of Seinfeld from start to finish. It had been a favourite since it was on originally.

Just complete and utter genius.

I have liked other sitcoms just as much. Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation... Probably others too.

Arrested Development was superb. Frasier and Cheers are damn good too. I love the earlier seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm. But, yes, Seinfeld is genius.
