I had a bow and short puff sleeves.

And a mahoooosive long veil.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 12/04/2015 11:12

I thought they all looked great, it looked like a down to earth proper wedding not some tacky Hello! Glitterfest.

Good show Salmon

Salmotrutta · 12/04/2015 11:13

Oh yes there should definitely be volume:surface area grading charts.

SirChenjin · 12/04/2015 11:14

I remember shaggy perms...had a few in my time Grin
I had my make up done professionally on the big day..to match my spring flower bouquet. Lilac and pink featured prominently iirc - and my dress had a big bow at the back.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 12/04/2015 11:15

People cant win can they.
If it had been polished and slick and sold to ok magazine that would get slagged off.
They have a normal wedding and they get slammed for that.
I am soooo glad I am not in the public eye.
Always seems to be women slagging off other women too. Why is that?

Belindabelle · 12/04/2015 11:16

Well at my wedding I wore Ivory as did the flower girl and paige boy.Bridesmaid was in gold silk du pion. My mum wore red. MIL was in bright yellow. DH, bestman,my dad and FIL were all in different tartans. It was rather colourful and uncoordinated to say the least. I wasn't framed more like totally washed out with all the bright primary colours. Thankfully most of my photographs were in black and white.

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2015 11:16

Sounds like your bridesmaid deliberately upstaged you with her tallness OO, the framing must have been all kinds of wrong. I'm so sorry. Sad

Christinayangstwistedsister · 12/04/2015 11:16

Robert Kilroy silk, that's who Kim's dad looks like

Bambambini · 12/04/2015 11:17

We got some stand ins to replace the in laws in the photos. They are all so diddy, the framing would have been so off.

SirChenjin · 12/04/2015 11:17

I think for proper framing there needs to be a widespread acceptance that guests of a certain girth and height will simply not be invited to weddings.

mrsbacchus · 12/04/2015 11:18

Hold my hand up and admit I wore white at my DD's wedding, although dress had flowers on as well. However, my lovely DD helped choose the dress so I guess she was happy. Like the Murray/Sears wedding, it was just a fantastic happy family occasion with the joining of two lovely young people and their families, no framing of the bride required ( she was stunning anyway )

Weebirdie · 12/04/2015 11:19

Thanks Christina - spot on! Smile

Christinayangstwistedsister · 12/04/2015 11:19

I am going to a wedding in a couple of weeks

Have decided to go rogue and wear what I like, and I won't be framing any bugger

Bambambini · 12/04/2015 11:19

Their wedding looked just perfect! Everyone looked great and just so relaxed and happy.

SirChenjin · 12/04/2015 11:21

Christina - I suspect that you will find yourself uninvited with that sort of attitude to framing Shock

Christinayangstwistedsister · 12/04/2015 11:22

Not being invited hasn't stopped me before

SirChenjin · 12/04/2015 11:23

I like your attitude.

Bambambini · 12/04/2015 11:24

At our reception, my husband went up behind his sister and stuck his head up under the back of her dress when she was standing up some stairs, only to find it was my sister (both bridesmaids). Don't ask me why he was sticking his head up under his sister's dress in the first place!

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2015 11:25

Well this thread has changed everything for me. I will get shown a perfectly normal picture of a very nice wedding. Usual response would be 'Aww looks lovely'.

But not any more.

I will be checking for framing and colour of outfits and possible upstaging.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 12/04/2015 11:28

Your life will never be the same sparkling :(

Christinayangstwistedsister · 12/04/2015 11:28

I have checked my album and not one of my so called friends or family have framed me....

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2015 11:30

Hob can you imagine if I get invited to a wedding after this? Shock

Chris, I am really sorry. Sad

Christinayangstwistedsister · 12/04/2015 11:30

Annnddddd DH wore a white shirt!!!!!!!!!
