To ask you about gay saunas

We've booked a hotel in Brighton to stay with my DP and our DC which has a gay sauna, and I'm wondering if the sauna is likely to be open late and be noisy. I'm a bit naive about saunas and don't know how they usually work - do they often play loud music like a club or are they fairly chilled? Appreciate it probably varies from place to place...

Workadurka, did you read the bit on the website about it being over 18s only?

I'm confused- is it a business booking for your DP, or a family booking for you all?

If I booked an over 18s hotel for a cheeky weeknight shag I would be delighted to hear toddlers running up and down the corridor

bof am guessing it's one of those numbers where work book it for one of you and then you all think 'ooh, Brighton! Let's all go, take the kids and all squash in'

Update:

DH went into work planning to call and ask for a quiet room and found out the hotel had been cancelled!

And yes, we had permission from DH's work and the hotel to stay there btw, they sounded lovely and accommodating.

And DC and I aren't going to Brighton any more (for completely unrelated reasons, to with my work).

Gay sauna is a euphemism.

It means that there is likely to be lots of sex :)

Is any one else singing Elecric 6's 'gay bar' in their head whilst reading this thread or is it just me?

We have a gay sauna round the corner from us, I know the couple who run it. They don't have any problems with it being confused with a sauna sauna becuse it has a completely different name and isn't listed with spas and health retreats.

It's just a place to go and shag men with no strings attached - apart from in the sling room obviously
