To think Americans have better sweets

My favourite sweetie shop has started selling US imports.

Yesterday I had a pack of black cherry jelly beans covered with chocolate and today am happily munching my way through a pack of Raspberry M&Ms. Bloody expensive mind you.

YABU.

American chocolate is vile and contains something related to vomit (read it in an article last week - can't remember what it's called).

I love the USA but their sweets/candy are shite. Far too sweet and sickly.

Their crisps are rubbish as well

Yabu American sweets are horrible and an acquired taste from birth. When I lived there I had to get English sweets/chocolates imported

If they could replace the grape flavour with black currant, I'd totally agree with you. Because purple sweets should not be gross fake grape flavour.

Their crisps are rubbish! No salt and vinegar, and no Chilli Heatwave Doritos!

Oh the disappointment when I found out all the green ones here are apple flavor and not lime...and fecking cherry instead of strawberry.

it's a travesty

Nasty nasty nasty. Hershey's are boak. Butterfingers are passable but the rest are a major disappointment. Our like local Tesco had an american section and stocks twinkies, Hershey's, tootsie rolls, etc - all the stuff off the telly!

I've tried most if them, and apart from mike and ikes, you can keep 'em. Also, I find the stickers on the back of quite a few of them saying 'contains GMO ingredients' a bit off putting.

It's a question of palate. I am American, but have lived in UK for 30 years. Not a huge sweet eater, either, but certain American ones I miss and I do think See's chocolates take some beating.
Their mainstream stuff is pretty rubbish, but they do have some nice artisanal ones,but then so do we!

US chocolate is basically fat with flavourings. UK's is sooooo much nicer.

Milk bottles, Parma violets, refreshers, flying saucers, cola cubes, tablet, rock, cola bottles, dib-dab, sherbet fountain, rainbow drops, pear drops, chewing nuts, wham, Highland toffee, mint imperials, alphabet letters, foam bananas, strawberry laces, rosy apples, sweetie bracelets...
I could go on. YABU!

Sweets are better, pop tarts, different flavours etc but the chocolate is rank.

US sweets are horrible, their chocolate taste like dirt.

They have better soft drinks than us though, proper Coke is like heroin to me and I go through litres of watermelon Arizona when I'm in the States.

My poor sister still gets mercy parcels of (mainly) chocolate sent over to the US and she emigrated in 1979.

America has a lot of great foodstuffs. Sweets and chocolate are not numbered among them though.

Not a huge fan but I do love Reece's peanut butter cups and jelly Bellies

The only sweets I like from those American shops is mint M&Ms. When they first started popping up it was exciting, but Im just bored of them all now. Give me a Dairy Milk any day.

Paydays. That is all.

Sweets are crap in the USA as are desserts.
Some ice cream is ok.

Mint M & Ms sound nice.

After what they have done to Cadburys.....no bloody way.

Fruit Runts are the best.

Reece's are way too sickly sweet. I had a Payday (research). Oooooo too sweeeeet.
