In thinking Birmingham needs some help with tourist promotion (Fox News)

If you've not seen it,

Apparently, Birmingham is a Muslin only city and off limits to non-Muslims and in London "Muslim religious police" beat "anyone who doesn't dress according to Muslim, religious Muslim attire".

So aside from the disturbing implications of Fox News interviewing this guy (who has been a witness for a Congressional committee) and this guy clearly believing what he was saying. I think we need to set the record straight about multiculturalism, Birmingham and dickheadedness in general.

There are some cracking examples on Twitter with #FoxNewsFacts hash tag for anyone who is need of a good laugh on a horrible wet and windy Monday morning.

I live in the Black Country. I wonder what Fox News would make of that!

It's absolutely staggering. I've alwAys loathed Fox, but the scale of the misinformation is appalling. I know he has retracted and apologised now, but not sure what Fox has done. I rathe wish Birmingham could sue both for defamation.

Because Fox News is a credible source of information.

I grew up in Birmingham and lived there for 21 years, how can they even run a story like this????? It's infuriating!!!

I live here too and if you could read the utter tosh I see on FB from the UKIP posse, you would actually think this was true too.

Total google fail, but going back to 2002 there was a spoof article on a local website about the "black country taliban", with loads of references to faggots, peas, Noddy Holder, and canals.

I used to watch Fox News when I was up doing the night feeds - it has to be seen to be believed doesn't it?

I do like his apology, though. He obviously got it wrong and is mortified (even though people seem to be finding it amusing rather than offensive).

I think all politicians should take lessons from him on how to be really sorry.
