When ordering a Jacket potato with cheese and something else? Such as coleslaw/beans/tuna.

LaurieFairyCake · 09/01/2015 18:08

Nah, it's also lush melting into the top of the beans

CMOTDibbler · 09/01/2015 18:09

No, it goes on after.

WilsonWilsonWoman · 09/01/2015 18:09

under tuna/coleslaw, over hot beans!

honeysucklejasmine · 09/01/2015 18:09

What?! No! Cheese melts over the top!

Although i would never have it with tuna, as it won't melt!

MrsCakesPrecognition · 09/01/2015 18:09

Nope. It goes on top so it can do melty oozing over everything else. Sometimes I put it back into the oven to encourage the oozing.

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 09/01/2015 18:09

Nooooo! It goes on AFTER!

usualsuspect333 · 09/01/2015 18:10

Cheese goes on last.

ShatnersBassoon · 09/01/2015 18:10

I prefer it on top too. Some melty bits, some still firm.

youbethemummylion · 09/01/2015 18:10

Under cold stuff over hot stuff it's the rules

ChocolateTeapotsDontWork · 09/01/2015 18:10

Cheese goes on top, especially on beans.

BlueSuedeStiletto · 09/01/2015 18:11

Definitely cheese on after UNLESS it's with tuna, in which case cheese first.

Stinkle · 09/01/2015 18:11

No, it's got to go on top.

I don't like cheese with beans, but tuna, etc, it has to go on after

Sallystyle · 09/01/2015 18:11

Cheese goes on first! then you sprinkle more between layers of toppings then more on the top.

BlueSuedeStiletto · 09/01/2015 18:12

Oooh, X posts- turns out I'm not weirdly specific!

Gautami · 09/01/2015 18:12

I'm with you op. Cheese on first. I never order JP with cheese and beans in case they get it wrong.

hoppus · 09/01/2015 18:13

It has to be on top otherwise it gets lost under the other stuff. All melty on top is the rule.

Chavaloy · 09/01/2015 18:13

Depends. If it was chilli (hot) topping, then I'd put the cheese on last (unless it was beans then I'd probably put the cheese on first - no idea why).
If it was a coleslaw (cold) topping I'd put the cheese on first.
To have tuna on a jacket potato is disgusting and has no place in my world!

BlueSuedeStiletto · 09/01/2015 18:14

Very interested in these layers you speak of U2. I've never thought of that!

Mrsthedog · 09/01/2015 18:14

I put most of it under the filling and then sprinkle a little on the top. With hot fillings like beans and chilli it's nice to have it melting on the top as well as on the potato itself.

JuniperTisane · 09/01/2015 18:16

Cheese-beans-cheese.

Obviously.

letitpea · 09/01/2015 18:16

Oh no!!! What if I order 'a jacket potato with cheese and tuna' surely cheese comes first?

I had cheese and coleslaw earlier in the week, and specified cheese first and the person serving looked at me and said 'well obviously!'

OP posts:
tethersend · 09/01/2015 18:17

No, cheese comes before beans, otherwise it doesn't melt properly.

With you all the way, OP.

Longdistance · 09/01/2015 18:17

Cheese first. Then beans/coleslaw on top.

letitpea · 09/01/2015 18:18

It wouldn't have been so bad if it had been cheese and a hot filling. But it just sat atop the cold coleslaw, not melting.
