When ordering a Jacket potato with cheese and something else? Such as coleslaw/beans/tuna.

crystal85 · 09/01/2015 18:21

surely it depends how you say it if you ask for jacket with cheese and beans then cheese first if you say beans and cheese then beans first?
altho i have no idea y any one would want cheese first?? it stops the fluffy potato from soaking up the beans ?!

IAmAllImportant · 09/01/2015 18:23

Was it you that served me in the SU yesterday?

It should be beans, the cheese, so the melty gooey loveliness can be fully appreciated!

The jacket potato was burnt too!

ghostyslovesheep · 09/01/2015 18:25

CHEESE FIRST

everyone else is WRONG

usualsuspect333 · 09/01/2015 18:27

I work in a cafe, cheese is always last unless the customer asks for it to be put on first. The weirdos

letitpea · 09/01/2015 18:28

No Iam !! I ordered these to take away, wasn't til i got it back to work i became aware of cold unmelted cheese!

To make matters worse, she had put the sped in the box, put cheese IN THE LID, tuna on the potato then just closed the box!!

museumum · 09/01/2015 18:29

Under cold stuff. Over hot. That's the rules.

usualsuspect333 · 09/01/2015 18:30

Unless it's cheese and coleslaw, then it's cheese first.

FishWithABicycle · 09/01/2015 18:34

I wonder if this is a regional thing, like jam-cream or cream-jam in Cornwall and Devon?

letitpea · 09/01/2015 18:39

If I had wanted tuna first, I would have ordered tuna and cheese, not cheese and tuna.

But the cheese slides off the beans if it's on top. Underneath it melts and pools deliciously in the potato.

I'm quite hungry.

jendot2 · 09/01/2015 18:45

Cheese always goes on top.... It's the law! ( and there always has to be twice as much cheese as everything else)

usualsuspect333 · 09/01/2015 18:46

I like some cheese not to be melted. That's why it goes on top.

Viviennemary · 09/01/2015 18:46

I'd say it went on last. That is on top.

LoveWillTearUsApart · 09/01/2015 18:50

Cheese first, so it is melted on one side by the potato, and the other by the beans.

Obviously.

tethersend · 09/01/2015 18:50

"I like some cheese not to be melted"

usual! Shock

HERESY

tethersend · 09/01/2015 18:51

Exactly, Love. EXACTLY.

mathanxiety · 09/01/2015 18:53

What Museummum said. Cheese goes under cold toppings and on top of hot toppings, to maximise meltiness.

ChocolateOranges · 09/01/2015 18:53

If I'm making it then I put butter in the spuds, then beans, eat a handful of cheese wash hands then put cheese on top. eat a handful of cheese

Don't like tuna and cheese, odd combo imo.

Cheese and coleslaw: butter spuds eat handful of cheese wash hands add cheese to spuds, eat handful of cheese add coleslaw.

mathanxiety · 09/01/2015 18:54

But YABU to eat cheese and coleslaw together.

BadgersNadgers · 09/01/2015 19:07

Potato, cheese and HP sauce, beans

Potato, cheese, coleslaw

Potato, cheese, ratatouille

Potato, cheese, chutney.

Can we all see the pattern here? Cheese on first every single time.

Royalsighness · 09/01/2015 19:19

Tuna and cheese together! Coleslaw and cheese together! Does not compute!

KurriKurri · 09/01/2015 19:25

Cheese first always, whatever the other ingredients.
Cheese is the essential potato flesh lubricant and must be applied before anything else can be added.
Please check Rule 70193 of the Baked Potato Manual immediately before we have any culinary total fuck ups emergencies.

AliceLidl · 09/01/2015 19:39

It's just wrong to put tuna on a baked potato.

Potato, butter, cheese.

Potato, butter, cheese, pickle.

Potato, beans, cheese.

Potato, chilli, cheese.

Scrumbled · 09/01/2015 20:42

Cold toppings it goes on first s in can melt. With beans I put some on the bottom, then some on the top.

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 09/01/2015 20:48

I haven't read the thread. It'll be full of amateurs.

Butter
Cheese
Beans
Cheese

End. of.
