To ask how often you have sex?

What the title says really, how often do you & your husband have sex? Also how old are you and how long have you been together?

40s me / 50s him
Together 11 years
Every few weeks - DP would like more often but I'm knackered all the time!

No explanation as to why you want to know?

We've been together for 8 years (well very nearly 8 years) I'm 25 he's 29 and on average we have sex 4 times a week (obviously depending on periods etc)

On average about 4 times a month. We're both early 30s, have been together for 10 years and have a 10mo son. It's less frequent than before we had our son, but I still think it's acceptable. DH wants it more often, but after an episiotomy, forceps and tearing, he'll get what he's blodd given!

Early 20s. DH late 20s. Together 2.5 years. Sex probably 6 times a week average. just can't keep my eyes off him

I'm 38 and DP is 45 been together 2.5 years and we've lived together just over a year.

Our sex life is very varied we might only have it once during the week but then lots during the weekend as we are normally so tired during week. To average it out we probably have it 3-4 a week.
But we both travel for work so literally might go a week or two without.

However I am currently pregnant and due to 2 previous mc's we've been advised to abstain from DTD until 14 weeks so it's a long wait!!!

Why do you ask? Each couple are different and there is no right or wrong answer unless one partner is concerned by the amount

The how long have you been together is the key. During week one, it's every five minutes!!

All the time at the mo. We are both in our 40's. Together almost 9 years. Married for almost 7. We've had a crappy year and have just worked really hard on our emotional and physical closeness. We did it twice yesterday! On average probably 5 times a week plus blowjobs.

DH and I are in our mid-late 40s and have been together nearly 25 years. We generally have sex 4 times a week though it depends on where work takes DH.

Brummiegirl - I think we're both generally happy with the amount of sex we have tbh, (well he would like more morning sex but morning breath just does not turn me on I'm afraid!) we were just kind of discussing whether it's a lot or not, I think it's above average and he thinks it's about normal

Together about 7 years. One month it'll be almost everyday, the next it'll drop to less than once a week. I guess it averages out at about 3 times a week. I'd like more, DP probably wouldn't be overly fussed if it became less often.

Together four years. Sex varies depending on our moods, tiredness, workload etc but probably averages at 4 times a week. I think we would both like more tbh, used to go like rabbits, but the past couple of months have been really draining. Still, it's a temporary thing, so I'm happy enough

We are both 32, been together almost 9 years, married for 5 and at the moment have sex around once every 10 days. It was more often (around 3 times a week) but we have a small baby in the house again so our sex life has been put on the back burner for a couple of months as sleep is more important! It'll pick up again at around the 6 month mark as it did last time but until then my bed is mainly for sleeping.

Sex- well, sometimes once a month, sometimes we will go a couple of months. Some times once a week and on very very rare occasions we may stretch to sex twice a week.

Very happily married, attraction levels high. He has a low sex drive as do I. With five children we are tired and the only chance we get to have sex these days is before bed when the teens are actually in there rooms. By that time we usually just want to sleep. Don't do morning sex, don't even want to talk to him in the mornings, let alone shag him.

So fear not those who are reading this and thinking everyone is at it like rabbits! not all of us are and many of us are happy that way too :) You often get people replying who are shagging left right and centre and those who aren't keep quiet! There must be more people like me reading this.

I'm another who is "as little as I can get away with" - I'm late 40s, DH nearly 40; he would definitely prefer it more often but probably only once a week - I usually manage once a month but I'm depressed at the moment, and have a few health issues which is helping me out but not him.
We have a very demanding 2yo and a 7yo which doesn't help - I am generally worn out by the 2yo and by DH's recalcitrant teen attitudes, it's not attractive and doesn't encourage me to want to have more sex with him. :(
