It is not rude as such, which makes it a better putdown.

He did write a truly brilliant article though on what it is like to be an addict. Having an alcoholic brother, he really did get it spot on as far as I am concerned.

I love this! And agree, the only thing worth watching with Brand in it.

I think it's a shame he doesn't focus more on that area demented, because as you say he has written articles and done talks on it and it is something he could really help people with. Because of his past experience and success at getting clean/sober.

Unfortunately he seems to be determined to be some kind of revolutionary instead.
