And every other item of clothing left in the washing basket.

She has also descaled the kettle, cleaned the fishtank and made a cake.

CoffeeTea103 · 05/07/2014 18:55

MammaTJ · 05/07/2014 18:55

I want her!

KingJoffreysBloodshotEye · 05/07/2014 18:55

Blimey!

How quickly can she pack and move in?

ithoughtofitfirst · 05/07/2014 18:56

What a bitch.

Politelydeclining · 05/07/2014 18:56

My Mum irons pants. She has inspired my DH to start doing the same. Grin

bigTillyMint · 05/07/2014 18:56

You wear underpants?

I'd like her to come round to mine too.

AtYourCervix · 05/07/2014 18:57

And she left the bed with clean (ironed) linen.

Did she do these things in a kindly fashion or was there tutting involved?

That is very important.

AtYourCervix · 05/07/2014 19:01

She may have tutted (I wouldn't blame her. The house is a stye) but she is kind enough to not tut within earshot.

KneesoftheBee · 05/07/2014 19:03

In that case, she is lovely.

I love my MIL to bits but she wouldn't do all those things. She would more likely descale the fish than the kettle Grin

CoolCat2014 · 05/07/2014 19:04

Awesome... How weird to iron underpants though.

I remember when our washing machine broke so husband took a pile of washing to the inlaws to do. I was at work so assumed he checked what was in the pile. A few days later a pair of Ann Summers sex knickers were freshly washed and folded in the pile. Oh my god. Never again.

AtYourCervix · 05/07/2014 19:07

Stie? Sty? Where pigs live. One of those.

OP posts:
MelanieCheeks · 05/07/2014 19:23

Pigs live in a house made of either bricks, sticks, or straw, until a big bad wolf comes along.

barrackobana · 05/07/2014 19:27

bigtilly ^You wear underpants?*

Don't you? Confused

MrsKoala · 05/07/2014 19:27

My mum irons pants and hankies. When she came round to help after we had the baby she spent hours ironing our, pants, socks, bedding and towels and not bloody hoovering like we really needed! Grin

My Nan used to iron my swimming costume.

AtYourCervix · 05/07/2014 19:33

The Cake is a sponge with lemon curd and butter icing.

She has also never once blamed me for being a bad mother.

OP posts:
Amy106 · 05/07/2014 19:40

She sounds lovely. Would she like a holiday at our house? Smile

Aliceinvodkaland · 05/07/2014 19:41

why do you wear underpants!!!! Shock

Sidge · 05/07/2014 19:43

I iron pants - boxers, not knickers.

When I was in the military I learned how to iron and fold socks Grin

I'm going to be the best MIL...

Aliceinvodkaland · 05/07/2014 19:43

yes but quite scary i would think sidge Grin

SauvignonBlanche · 05/07/2014 19:44
