Am I being unreasonable with my first post on mumsnet that I'm having a moan about being in a marriage of three. Me, my wife and mumsnet. Wouldn't mind but I think mumsnet is turning into a better husband than me, now that`s worrying. I musn't be the only husband out there with this problem or maybe it's just me milking a bit of sympathy. When my wife spots this post I'm sure she'll consult mumsnet and give me an answer. Just for the record I love my wife(for torture avoidance purposes).

Are you a bloke?

Just asking because your user name suggests otherwise.

Fwiw, leave your wife to it. You are obviously not fulfilling some aspect of her life. Better she seeks solace here rather than some other options. Wink

ThatBloodyWoman · 16/04/2014 14:31

I'm sorry, love, didn't realise you felt like this.

Can you pop and get some bread on the way home ? xxx

Hissy · 16/04/2014 14:31

Don't fight it...

Jump on in! we have LOTS of men on here too!

you never know... you may learn something

Wink
McIngOutTheEasterBunny · 16/04/2014 14:32

Perhaps you need a bigger URL Wink

kinkyfuckery · 16/04/2014 14:32

So what do you think it lacking in your marriage that she gets from Mumsnet instead?

Well first of all I am a bloke, secondly my URL is just fine thanks. I thinks that one man does not have the capability to compete with 1.5 million women. As in tune as I could ever be to woman and her feelings, it's no competition. Me v mumsnet or David versus Goliaths wife, i'm sure Goliath was afraid of his wife.

OP posts:
ThatBloodyWoman · 16/04/2014 14:55

It's not a competition though, op.
Women, imo, get something from different women that they don't get from men.
It's a huge resource. And one that has really helped many women.

DenzelWashington · 16/04/2014 14:57

You're an MN widower, then.

There are certain lovely RL things that even mighty MN cannot do, I suggest you do more of them.

tethersend · 16/04/2014 14:59

It's not a competition; but if it were, we'd be winning.

HTH.

JerseySpud · 16/04/2014 15:00

Just look at it this way

She could either complain about you to people who know you or a bunch of strangers you never have to meet....

sisterofmercy · 16/04/2014 15:03

You can tickle her. We can't.

RobinSparkles · 16/04/2014 15:06

DH, is that you? :o

gamerchick · 16/04/2014 15:08

Somehow I don't think this threads going to end well.

It's obvious you're being TIC OP but honestly if you want more of your wife then you need to tell her. It's easy to get wrapped up in the Internet sometimes.

gamerchick · 16/04/2014 15:10

And it had better not be you husband.. I have your Facebook log in Grin

Thouneedsbedamned · 16/04/2014 15:15

I know this isn't my DH.

The longer I am glued to the Ipad the longer he gets away with hogging the TV for xbox pursuits.

Plus be just loves a good AIBU.

ThatBloodyWoman · 16/04/2014 15:16

The question you should ask yourself is whether this is about her being constantly unavailable, or you wanting her to be constantly available.

puntasticusername · 16/04/2014 15:18

Thou oh yes, MrPunt loves it when I read him out a good one. And even if it's one where I think it's quite balanced and nuanced, with room for a wide variety of opinions on the issues discussed, he always listens just to the OP then tells me exactly who is BU, and just how the thread is going to go.

He's always absolutely right, too. Bastard.

Yep, to be fair, my dh has Clarkson and his croneys on a continous loop.
He would have no idea most of the time if I was having an orgy with the musketeers in the front room, let alone mumsnetting.

MNwidow · 16/04/2014 15:25

Thats how it goes with us puntastic. I love mumsnet for its gossip. My reasonable and rational answer at the end of a new thread is normally LTB LTB. My name should be widower not widow. Last time i looked i wasn't a spider.

OP posts:
lessonsintightropes · 16/04/2014 16:21

Sorry DH, it's a fair cop. But I thought you appreciated the chance to play guitar and hang out with your mates drinking beer spend more time building up your second income as a rock guitarist? And where else will we get all the advice about property?!

Grennie · 16/04/2014 16:25

Maybe if you improved your grammar, your wife would be happier with you?

puntasticusername · 16/04/2014 17:25

Ah, already using LTB, eh OP? That's it, we've got you, you're going native!

MNwidowed · 16/04/2014 17:29

We're definitely not at the stage were orgy's will be ignored in the living room and the grammar police, I've heard all about you. .iving life angry and resentful at peoples punctuation lol.
