Am I being unreasonable with my first post on mumsnet that I'm having a moan about being in a marriage of three. Me, my wife and mumsnet. Wouldn't mind but I think mumsnet is turning into a better husband than me, now that`s worrying. I musn't be the only husband out there with this problem or maybe it's just me milking a bit of sympathy. When my wife spots this post I'm sure she'll consult mumsnet and give me an answer. Just for the record I love my wife(for torture avoidance purposes).

Despite my groaning and moaning(all in jest, i promise). i'm pro feminism but i'm pro anything as long as it brings equality.

Normally i'd like being someones plaything but I fear on here it is something no man would want to be. I'm a human being, i have feelings. Plus if and when my good lady wife sees this, it will only give her ideas on how to torture me for her pleasure

Grennie · 16/04/2014 18:43

Ah, equality. Feminism isn't about equality. It is about ending women's oppression as a class by men as a class.

Grennie · 16/04/2014 18:44

OP have you ever parked in parent and child spaces when you don't have a child with you?

MissHobart · 16/04/2014 18:44

My OH kills zombies on the xbox yawn and still passes comment on how much time MN takes up! Hmm Easter Grin

Grennie · 16/04/2014 18:44

Do you wear shoes when you are in other people's houses?

Grennie · 16/04/2014 18:44

Do you have a loo brush?

Grennie · 16/04/2014 18:45

Seriously OP, you are out of your depth here Grin

ThatBloodyWoman · 16/04/2014 18:45

I speak for myself, but its only banter, and you're being a good sport.
I hope I'm not being 'orrible.

MNwidowed · 16/04/2014 18:56

Feminism is about ending oppression to bring equality. To want more than equality would bring the same problem only it would be the other way round. And no, only after asking if they want them off and no. I don't play xbox games etc but I have my own ways of procrastinating, don't know what they are because I'm far too busy for that but I'm sure my wife could tell you.
Thank you I try to play along but I do feel like i've just up against Germaine Greer

Thouneedsbedamned · 16/04/2014 18:58

Yay!

Are you here to tell me I'm doing feminism wrong?

Equality is usually seen as treating everyone the same. A woman took her state to court in the US because she claimed it was sex discrimination that there was no paid maternity leave. The court ruled that it was not sex discrimination, as men got no paid maternity leave either.

Women and men have some different needs, They need to be catered for.

Ohbyethen · 16/04/2014 19:03

Sorry, lowering the tone again.

As this is now q&a - for identity purposes, do you get to work in the morning by jumping out of the window of milady's boudoir, onto a horse, whilst clutching your hat in your teeth?

Would you answer a diy query with 'hmm, shall we ask Piglet John?'?

Do you have a pair of judgy Y fronts?

Grennie · 16/04/2014 19:04

Also equality usually mean treating women like men. I want a better deal for everyone, not for women to simply slot into the status quo.

That is why feminism is about liberation.

Grennie · 16/04/2014 19:06

Also:

Loo brush good
Parking in parent and child spaces without a child, bad. Unless you are disabled when it is fine.
Wearing shoes in someone elses house good.

Ohbyethen · 16/04/2014 19:07

Although do feel free to address the feminism questions first so you can tell me off for objectification and sexist stereotyping.

I'm getting those questions in before I'm made to hand in my password and get deregged for letting the side down.

Grennie · 16/04/2014 19:09

Ohbyethen - You forgot being told off for saying feminism is about women.

MNwidowed · 16/04/2014 19:10

If I have the wrong idea of what feminism is then I apologise. I am married to a woman who I wouldn't say is completely feminist but most certainly one for the liberation of women and the stigma men of the past and present have put on you lot. I'm not getting into a war of words about exactly what feminism is but like i say I am very much pro equality. if feminism promotes that, then i'm fully behind it.

BoffinMum · 16/04/2014 19:16

Send him to a sporn thread. That will really freak him out Grin

And no, OP, that is nothing to do with shagging. GrinGrin Before you ask GrinGrinGrin

MNwidowed · 16/04/2014 19:17

The 14 yr old car pulls me about just nicely and i leave through the back door with the broken handle. I answer a diy question with hmmm oh yes, but as i tell my wife i'm an excellent bodge it man, expert in nothing. Gotta say though my judgy pants are proper bitchy. And i hate everyone(not quite really) but no one deserves to suffer. hope this helps your concerns lol.

MNwidowed · 16/04/2014 19:21

We both clean the loo. Joint effort, see equality in action. lifes good!!
