Pegging

Pegged · 16/11/2013 05:11

I think I have finally battered my OH into pegging me. I know we will need loads of lube but does anyone have any other advice? Must admit I'm nervous to find out what her choice of strap on is lol

OP posts:
PacificDogwood · 16/11/2013 22:19

Oh, oh, I've got another one:

My mum has a friend called Margaret, known as Peggy, Peg for short Grin

figrus · 16/11/2013 22:32

I didn't know you were supposed to wash pegs. I just replace them every spring. I love being able to change my peg colour scheme and sometimes I go mad and change peg style

thegreylady · 16/11/2013 22:32

We used to have a boat called Peggoty.....wanders off musing on the oddness of folk...

NorksAreMessy · 16/11/2013 22:33

Oh wise Mumsnetters, how do I stop my tent from blowing away?
Someone told me there was such a thing as a little metal spike to do this....

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 16/11/2013 22:51

Delta pegs or rock pegs or a combo. I leave that kind of pegging entirely to DH though as it gives me arm ache.

MoreLifeInATrampsVest · 16/11/2013 22:56

My neighbour once stole ALL my pegs that DH had stupidly left on the communal whirly line then denied it. I know it was him though Hmm

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 16/11/2013 23:03

Unless the OP was into crafting and we all got it horribly wrong?

Have to admit the faces you can buy separately look a little bit sus to me Shock

I've done a bit of that in my time and not from a kit either I'll have you know (the dolly making, not the O faces) Wink

patienceisvirtuous · 16/11/2013 23:03

Pegging furious! My cat is called Peg. Didn't realise I'd named her after some deviant sexual practice Shock

SecretWitch · 16/11/2013 23:08

I have a prosthetic leg. Back in the olden days I might have had a peg leg... My youngest is eternally frustrated at my lack of of wooden peg as she would like me to also have an eye patch and a parrot....she loves her a good pirate!

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 16/11/2013 23:10

Softly-me too. Who is stealing our pegs? Is this why my pance keep falling down?Shock

SoupDragon · 17/11/2013 07:56

liquidstate · 17/11/2013 09:17

I have a combination of these and these in my futility room. I can hang shirts on the instahangar and no need to iron. I do not use pegs inside. Am very proud of my utility room. My husband is rubbish at hanging the washing up so has not interest in pegging.

I have a stylish peg tin, Its sits on a special shelf in the futility room. Shame on all those that keep them outside all year round! I also have the special lakeland clips for frozen pea bags. Blush

ConfusedDotty · 17/11/2013 09:37

Well that's my last pegging sesh of 2013 done before inclement weather sets in. I am going to miss it and I'm not really sure what to do with myself.

I need a futility room for all year round pegging. I could set a pulley device up right next to my back door.

Do you thing it awfully rude and boasty of me to take a photo of the last pegging out of 2013?

PacificDogwood · 17/11/2013 10:18

Confused, just don't put it on Instagram - they have a policy against that kind of thing.

It is kinda sad when the pegging season is over, isn't it?
But in the spring, pegging can be resumed with vigour

Joysmum · 17/11/2013 10:22

Wow, amazing to see how munsnet can work when they suspect someone of setting up another 'penisbeaker' thread.

I took this at face value until I started reading the replies. I'm an innocent newbie Blush

Wonder how long it'll take me to become more seasoned at spotting these?

TheVermiciousKnid · 17/11/2013 10:32

I'll be thinking of this thread everytime I do some pegging. Grin

fatlazymummy · 17/11/2013 10:51

I was surprised to learn that some posters don't peg during the winter months. I peg all year round ,as long as it isn't raining or snowing.
It does get a bit stiff when the temperature drops to zero though.

Neutrinodior · 17/11/2013 11:08

Seems much as everyone has talked about how to peg, no body has mentioned sheets - other than what poo you can get on them. What I need to know is how;

I was told that sheets can be folded but must be hung by the corners, so the breeze goes through them and dries them quicker. However, my BM insists on either hanging them over the line [shudder] and then pegging them. Which one is the right way?

I also overlap when pegging, I like to use all the line and not leave any space and have no prop. However, I loved to prop as a child.

ConfusedDotty · 17/11/2013 11:11

My neighbour pegs out all year long too. She has two, yes two massive lengthy retractable lines which are full almost everyday. She's an early morning pegger, her smalls are often on display well before 7am. She's very smug about it all.

I once kicked one of their kids' footballs back over the fence to deliberately try to knock some pance off the line, managed it too. No one likes a smug pegger.

LisaMed · 17/11/2013 13:07

I used to drop ds off at nursery next to a garden where I think there was an older woman living. There was line after line of perfectly pegged, perfectly white, immaculately clean larger lady's knickers evenly spaced along the lines.

I never peg out my smalls.

BerstieSpotts · 17/11/2013 16:23

fatlazy do you live outside of the UK? I didn't used to peg in Winter when I lived there because it would always rain in the time it took to dry. Plus the air seemed to be damp in Winter so it didn't really dry anything leaving it outside.

fiftyandfab · 17/11/2013 19:09

I used to be an avid pegger but then subsequently lived in places with nowhere to do it. I quickly got used to other methods. When I recently moved, mum took one look at the garden and said oh great, you can start pegging outside again. The letting agent was most amused when he heard me tell her that pegging outside was so 20th century.

I never pegged with underwear or tea towels, that just seemed wrong.

I will reconsider my outdoor pegging activity in the Spring with a pristine new line and matching pegs of the same colour for aesthetic purposes.

My loads are now strictly nocturnal due to economy 7 tariff, and don't seem to bother my neighbour. I'm suitably anaesthetised with sauvignon blanc for it to disturb me. Sadly, drying out now has other connotations....but that's for another thread Grin

fatlazymummy · 17/11/2013 19:49

Berstie no, I live in the uk. If it looks damp, raining or snowing I don't hang it out. If it's windy, or one of those crisp cold sunny days then I hang it out. I like the freshness, even though it probably won't get properly dry.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 17/11/2013 23:12

I deliberately peg DH's pance on the bit of line that can be seen by the general public. Grin And grown ds' s superhero ones.
Mine go on the hoisty rack thing in the kitchen.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 17/11/2013 23:47

Before pegging, I like to make sure everything's taut and twanging. Being a hairy-handed trucker I use a Wakos hitch with plenty of end loop, pull as hard as I can and finish off with half a double fisherman.

Fnarr.
