His poor wife though! I mean not really, I'm sure she's perfectly happy- fit husband for a start- but I take a certain comfort in knowing that me and DH are decaying at roughly the same rate

I think it may be a black thing. I see it a lot in my family. My mother is 60 and could pass for about 40 and I was just looking her today and she has no wrinkles. She has gorgeous smooth skin, she really is beautiful.

My older sister is in her mid 30's and looks about 25.

LOL, how cheering and what an angelic looking man! Its not just a black thing - the thing is, there could be ridiculously young looking people all around you, but you wouldn't know - because who's going to admit to looking decades older than they actually are...

It could be a black thing, but its mainly genes. A black lady at ds's playgroup is around the 50 mark, she happened to mention it once but i was shocked as she looks about 35! Jealous, me? Pfft

If I'd had to guess his age I might have put him at bit younger - but I don't know why so many of you are amazed he's 50.

My DH and I are 52 so maybe we know lots of people of this age and know that we're not all crumbly and crinkly

Though I've not been ID'd myself since I was 35 - was jetlagged so quite flattered by that one!
