Tommy most shops have to implement the challenge 25 policy. Shops are really strict on this so anyone looking under 25 gets asked for ID. It's really hard to guess ages though so people over 25 might sometimes get asked.

The assistant must've thought he looked 25 ish. Don't think I'd have asked him for ID though maybe his number

I was asked for ID in ASDA recently.

I do look young, but not that young. I don't think it helped that I had my 14 yr old ds with me.

Am I the only one who thinks he looks in his forties? He looks good, don't get me wrong, but although he has no wrinkles, his face is hollowed a bit under his eyes and around the nasolabial folds, as per someone around that age.

This woman, however, absolutely no way would I have guessed 54:

Yes, I agree. But I think perhaps in relation to many supermarket customers and how they look, he probably looks young. As well as good bone structure, the chap in the article and the woman you mention are probably people who haven't compromised their liver and kidney functions with poor diet, etc..

In all honesty, he was probably stopped partly because he was black, by someone who thought 'youngish black man ARRGGGGHHHHHHH'. Or that is my cynical reading of it, given the stereotypical and racist assumptions that black men face every day.

I'd never have guessed that Orla Brady is 52!

I doubt that mother in all honesty it is actually bloody hard with Asian/black people to determine age. I struggle sometimes because they always have such lovely skin , no spots, no grease, or anything that would be a tell tale give away of someone being a bit younger, so yeah I have I'd-d many who have turned out be late 20s even 30. Not because they are black or Asian and I have some pre conception about them, but because they have such lovely looking skin whether they are 17 or 40 and it's more than your jobs worth not to check.

I have plenty of Asian cousins - my mother is from India - and I can assure you that as cousins they had plenty of spots Grin.

:o that's comforting. Honestly the amount of times I've had my Shock face on is ridiculous. Usually followed by an embarrassed apology and a request to tell me what moisturiser they use :o

Wow he looks about 30 and gorgeous

My dh does quite well, he's 37 and occasionally gets asked for id. I put it down to the Malay bit of his genes.

Being mid 20's I would put with this bloke in his early 40's. He looks great but certainly not in his 30's or younger.

DILF.

I assumed the reason black skin aged better was that it was better at protecting itself from the sun due to higher levels of melanin?

God, the fucking daily fail!!! Immediately below that story is a still from a video of a python regurgitating a fully grown dog. I expect horrible nasty teens to enjoy sharing that sort of vile stuff n their phones, not a national bloody newspaper!

Man looks good for 50. I wouldn't have id him. He could be anything from 35 to 50, couldn't he? Not 24!

He is obviously a witch and should be burned at the stake.

I'd never in a million years think he was 50!

Blimey! and he's fit!

I met a bloke once like him, he was 45 and I really though he was in his late twenties.
(he was black as well - I can't see how that could possibly be racist, but if it's out of line I apologise)

He doesn't look much older than me and I'm 25! Certainly doesn't look old enough to have a 30yr old son!

When I was in Marrakech me and my mum were in a carpet place and the owner was throwing all these heavy rugs around, chatting away to us, and age came up in conversation, we assumed he was about 50, when he told us he was 82!!!!!

The paler you are the worse you age (celebrity examples are useless here because they've all had surgery) but it's why, on the whole, redheads age badly.

ScarletLady02 · 30/09/2013 19:00

Funny you should say that Nancy66 but my DH is 35 and a freckly red-head....he looks mid twenties. Cocoa butter I swear to God Smile
