Ready for later! :)

Aw thank you magimedi. :)

I didn't expect to feel sad about it today and it'll pass, but it's not nice I suppose now I'm seeing who is actually permitted to attend the hallowed event!

Hoping it pisses down with rain all day in dramatic Hollywood movie style. Grin

Hugs, Tidy Flowers

Katisha · 24/08/2013 14:25

I'm near herts/ beds border and it has just stopped pissing down. But not for long I reckon.
I suppose she thought you would have your fun set decorating Tidy, and therefore an invitation to the actual event would be unnecessary ...

MummyBeerest · 24/08/2013 14:35

Tidy, you've been a class act through the whole thing. It's shitty what Gluezilla did to you, but clearly she's someone who doesn't value true quality-in wedding decor or in friends!

She gets 80 people today to fawn over her and tell her how awesome she is, just for today. You've had literally thousands over the course of a month who are amongst your biggest fans!

Enjoy today just for you Flowers

pigletmania · 24/08/2013 14:39

Hhh Highclere castle Tidy! Really Tidy she was not much of a friend, and you thought that you were closer to her than her to you. Nevermind, you are well rid of her, you deserve better she is no friend to use and abuse you

pigletmania · 24/08/2013 14:41

I agree Mummyberest, well said

Euphemia That is such a gem of a post!

pigletmania · 24/08/2013 14:56

Euphemia thats a good one, I would do. i would only be her Facebook friend just to make such comments and see all the wedding goss, and after a while, delete her.

MinnieBar · 24/08/2013 14:58

Cake for Tidy

In north Oxford today I did see a turquoise cadillac (or similar, 50s huge American deal anyway) go past with 'Just Married' on the back and I did wonder if it was Gluezilla.

But, wrong area. Bit nippy for a wedding today...

Notafoodbabyanymore · 24/08/2013 15:06

Euphemia that's hilarious.

FruOla · 24/08/2013 16:35

"There are people who I now know are going who I thought had the same level of friendship with gluezilla as I did, which makes me feel a bit sad but oh well."

Oh Tidy Sad

You deserve a Wine and Flowers

DidoTheDodo · 24/08/2013 17:26

I declare today "National Love Tidy Day."

More than Gluezilla will ever get. I expect she has melted in the rain.

tinypumpkin · 24/08/2013 17:35

Seconding Dido :) Sorry you feel crappy today Tidy. Gluezilla may be unhinged but I know that losing a friendship is always hard. Have some vino this evening :)

HorryIsUpduffed · 24/08/2013 17:40

Gin for Tidy

Come 8pm we should have a rash of "desperate wedding dj" YouTube suggestions.

Oops Upside Your Head

TidyDancer · 24/08/2013 17:55

Thank you for the kind posts. :)

I'm okay really, I guess I'd sort of pushed it all to the back of mind that I would see friends and people I know going! I didn't know until today who had been invited and who hadn't.

You are all very lovely for saying nice things. :)

P.S. gluezilla's dress is huge.

It's rotten what she's done & how she's made you feel but it's only 1 day & yet she's lost a very good friend through her selfishness & inconsideration. You deserve much better. Hope you feel better & are enjoying some wine!Wine

ExitPursuedByABear · 24/08/2013 18:25

Huge. no taste then

NadiaWadia · 24/08/2013 18:27

Don't feel bad Tidy. She was obviously never the good friend you once thought her to be. She is not even a decent human being, and would you really want to be friends with someone like that? You have not lost anything!

DreamingofSummer · 24/08/2013 18:49

Tidy

If you are into schadenfreude, today has been the wettest day for many a moon. Not an ounce of sunshine anywhere near Herts

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 24/08/2013 19:05

Tidy, I acho what Dreaming says above Grin

Thanks for all the laffs. I do hope you feel OK and continue to feel OK about it. Thanks Brew Cake

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 24/08/2013 19:05

echo, not acho Hmm

SarahAndFuck · 24/08/2013 19:08

I think it's only natural for you to feel a bit sad today.

You've been great through all the threads but it's still a friendship you valued and it hurts to realise she didn't feel the same way about it. You wouldn't be human if you didn't feel hurt. You'd be some sort of dinosaur-gluestick hybrid in a veil.

At least now you can put it all behind you, you won't have any more appeals to help popping up in your in box and in time she might now calm down and realise what she's done and why you were perfectly justified to feel the way you do.

Trigglesx · 24/08/2013 19:17

So I'm a bit late to the party, although I was following along (and posting) on the first couple threads.... did she ever find someone to con into helping with the decorating?? If not, any idea what she ended up doing?
