Ready for later! :)

Ah sorry I must have missed that. I think the squirrel and owl look would fit in so well with a 50s/60s Hollywood theme Grin, combined with the bridal party being chased by a dinosaur for a photograph!

farrowandbawl · 18/08/2013 17:19

Does anyone else think that this drama has the potential to go on for months?

Gluezilla is striking me as the type of person to continue playing the victim for along while yet.

EmmaGellerGreen · 18/08/2013 18:12

Of course, there is a Gluegroom! I have just realised that too! What is he like? Wonder if he knows about the glue-tendencies of his beloved and her family........

prettybird · 18/08/2013 18:37

Look what I found: a Facebook page dedicated to 50s weddings! Grin

She's even looking for real life wedding stories! Wink

FruOla · 18/08/2013 18:38

GlueGroom has probably had his hands held against his ears, singing "lalalalalala, I can't hear you" for the last godknowshowmany months.

lunar1 · 18/08/2013 18:47

Anyone else looking forward to when she has a baby!

SkivingAgain · 18/08/2013 18:55

I may have missed it, but was Hunfriend also asked to help with the decorating?

HorryIsUpduffed · 18/08/2013 18:57

Yes, Skiving. Fortunately she had the presence of mind to say "I will be away. I suggest you get a professional" or words to that effect.

SkivingAgain · 18/08/2013 19:03

Thank you upduffed.Thanks

IamnotaStepfordHousewife · 18/08/2013 19:30

These had better be ending up in Classics! Fantastic x

CorrieDale · 18/08/2013 19:38

I can't help wondering just when the penny will drop with GZ. I almost feel sorry for her because once she's back to normal she is going to be completely mortified about how she behaved in all this. I am cringing on her behalf.

TidyDancer · 18/08/2013 19:51

I was deliberately vague/deceptive in the beginning about the wedding date (sorry!) because at that stage I wasn't quite anticipating where and how far this thread would go! I figured I had some change at anonymity, but now the wedding date isn't going to be what outs me! Since the has been a riot, I no longer care if I am outed! Grin

The wedding is next weekend. :)

Mr Gluezilla to be is a teacher. I have no idea what he feels unfortunately!

Get hunfriend to send you every single thing she posts on FB from now on. The actual wedding day posts and the day before are going to be hillarious.

Back on track...she's got less than 7 days left. Do you know if she's got ANYONE to help her with the decorations?

HorryIsUpduffed · 18/08/2013 19:56

Earlier I posted but with my current attention to detail I think maybe < Tidy stalker> is more apt Blush

RenterNomad · 18/08/2013 21:07

A weekend wedding? Another opportunity missed to inconvenience the real guests by allowing them to give up a day or days of work for Her.

What a pity many of GlueGroom's friends might be teachers, decreasing the value of their sacrifice. Still, on the bright side, some of them may still be showing their devotion by having to organise childcare. An 80-guest wedding is unlikely to have enough seats for the kiddies, not to mention the fact that it was a child who blurted out the Emperor's New Clothes Gluezilla's themed dress and accessories were actually a birthday suit!

tinypumpkin · 18/08/2013 21:08

I just love the fact that GZ has no idea that a swarm of MNers are veagerly awaiting every detail of her Holloywood / Sylvanian wedding.

tinypumpkin · 18/08/2013 21:09

Balls, that was supposed to be Hollywood.

ZingWantsCake · 18/08/2013 21:36

pumpkin also "eagerly"!Grin

thistlelicker · 18/08/2013 21:46

I often wonder where this thread goes

Wigeon · 18/08/2013 22:18

Another de-lurking - what a great thread! Are you sure that Gluezilla hasn't got it into her head that she asked you ages ago to help (even though she didn't), and so now you are saying you can't help (even though you never agreed to help), she is feeling all let down?

Maybe she thinks she asked you before the save-the-date-oh-woops-don't-bother-saving-the-date-anymore-cos-you're-not-invited shenanigans?

TidyDancer · 18/08/2013 22:25

Wigeon, I thought about that when she first asked me. But she has not once said "but you agreed" or "do you remember when we discussed....?". I think if she really felt like I'd backed out she would've trotted out a line like that.

I do love you all for this thread. You have cheered me up no end about the fact that gluezilla was such a shitbag to me! There are some right bastards out there in the world, but thankfully I've found a lot of gooduns on this thread. :)

OP posts:
pigletmania · 18/08/2013 22:27

So tidy I gather you and gluezilla are no longer friends, well I hope not after the ways she has treated you

TidyDancer · 18/08/2013 22:33

I no longer consider her a friend, no. Which is both sad and good at the same time.

OP posts:
HorryIsUpduffed · 18/08/2013 22:36

Has all your communication been written, btw? No phone calls or face to face?

I was interested that she had asked Hunfriend in person. I wondered if someone had suggested that that method might be more successful.
