Shit. A 4th thread. I've been away for a day at a wedding.

daisychain01 · 17/08/2013 22:25

I wonder if the main course at the Wedding Breakfast ought to be hunn-ie roast Rhino...

TidyDancer · 17/08/2013 23:20

Hello all, I'm home! And in tears of laughter at the songs/poetry!

Nothing more to report for the day I'm afraid!

YouTheCat · 17/08/2013 23:22

What was hunfriend's response to finding out you were the terrible person who had let Gluezilla down?

JustCallMeMaam · 17/08/2013 23:51

Shameless place marking!

Am I right in thinking gluezilla is a doctor? Heaven help her patients!

farrowandbawl · 18/08/2013 04:28

Gluezilla's a doctor? What the hell?

Notafoodbabyanymore · 18/08/2013 05:49

Actually can't believe her! "Why doesn't anyone want to help me?" Ummm... because you're a cowbag and a selfish bitch, maybe? Hth.

MrsEdinburgh · 18/08/2013 05:49

Everytime I look at my daughters Sylvanians I think "Glue" :)

JustCallMeMaam · 18/08/2013 09:54

Sure I remember Tidy saying she was a published medical professional - I took that to mean doctor??

meditrina · 18/08/2013 09:56

Is Tidy the terrible person who let Gluezie down, though?

Or perhaps someone else did, just before she mentioned decorating for the first time? Hence her (odd?) last-minute request for help to Tidy? And then to anyone/everyone else?

forumdonkey · 18/08/2013 10:20

Grin I've followed this thread from the beginning and just when I think that's it, Gluezilla strikes again with another classic - love it! Grin

Pachacuti · 18/08/2013 10:47

Mmm, meditrina, but in spite of telling everyone else that she's been let down over decorating when she's trying to get their help/support that's not something she said to Tidy when asking her to help - which suggests she sees Tidy as the down-letter.

notapizzaeater · 18/08/2013 11:02

So pleased glue... Is a medical person. As I m attending a wedding next week and the bride is currently a little bit loopy !!! But perfectly normal compared to these ...

NorfolkIngWay · 18/08/2013 11:07

Weeping at "I GLUE" Grin

Do you Gluezilla take Gluegroom to be your lawfully wedded husband and promise to stick together until death do you part ? Grin

KeatsiePie · 18/08/2013 11:12

MrsKoala this "something borrowed something ...' and i shouted GLUE at which point i laughed like a drain and DH seriously considered leaving me." made me laugh like another drain.

And, "badly let down"! Assuming she means Tidy, that's quite a little rewrite of history the bride has done.

TidyDancer · 18/08/2013 12:51

Gluezilla isn't a doctor. It's more on the research side of things.

Hunfriend and I agreed that it probably was me that had let gluezilla down (haha) but that we couldn't be sure she wasn't referring to a collective let down from others. May not know for a while until I see others whether they were also approached to help. She was shocked she hadn't been the only one though.

OP posts:
farrowandbawl · 18/08/2013 12:53

Thank god she's not a doctor.

Maybe she can do more research on the effects of sniffing glue.

MummyBeerest · 18/08/2013 15:25

Is your friend also a decorator? Or is she just asking anyone she knows who isn't invited to the wedding?

She just sounds more and more ridiculous!

SilverOldie · 18/08/2013 15:25

Does anyone feel a bit sorry for Gluegroom? I would be having second thoughts if I were him.

Tidy, I know you don't want to give us the date of the gluewedding but could you give a rough indication, if its like in the next month or so? If its more than a month, I can see you having to start many more threads.

EagleRiderDirk · 18/08/2013 16:04

from an earlier tidy post I was left under the impression its this weekend (though possibly next weekend).

Notafoodbabyanymore · 18/08/2013 16:08

MrsKoala that made me piss myself laughing too. How good is "something old, something new, something borrowed and something glue" !?

Great stuff!

WherewasHonahLee · 18/08/2013 16:38

I assumed The Glue Wedding was today. I hadn't banked on another another week of the gluey saga. Tidy you will let us know when it's all over and we can come out from behind the sofa won't you?

ElephantsEye · 18/08/2013 16:40

Do you think this photo was GZ's inspiration?

bootsycollins · 18/08/2013 16:41

There's enough material here to produce "Glue" the musical Grin

HorryIsUpduffed · 18/08/2013 17:12

Next weekend is a bank holiday in England (not Scotland) so it's a prime time for weddings. Tidy at one point said it was August and there's only one August weekend left...
