Russell Howard's apparently insurmountable breast milk issues...

ICBINEG · 03/06/2013 14:34

I love RH...every last thing about him....except his apparently massive mental problem regarding breast milk.

Every other show he seems to be pulling faces, gagging and generally freaking out about it...

Russell, darling, it's just milk sweetie. Milk designed by nature for humans to drink. I mean you do realise that cow's milk come out of cow mammary glands don't you?

Maybe you could redress the balance and do a set on how utterly disgusting it is for anyone to drink, see, think about or generally come into contact with cow's milk.....

AIBU to think RH should stop with the whole BM is disgusting meme and if he can't say anything reasonable on the topic then silence on the matter would work just fine?

My consultant was freaking out as infections that take hold in patients like me can be catastrophic. It worked from the first go tbh I used at at I think 10pm and by the morning all the redness had gone and I had a nit of pain but I treated it like antibiotics and used it for a few more days even when it was totally clear. It was amazing and no hideous side effcts

5madthings · 03/06/2013 18:26

Yep it is amazing stuff and it doesn't sting your eyes like the drops do etc, very easy to bathe/clean the eyes with. I always recommend it to anyone I know who is feeding and they or their child have conjunctivitis.

What did the consultant say when you cleared it with bmilk?!

noddyholder · 03/06/2013 18:28

Well I expected them to be scathing but they weren't I think the relief was massive as the alternative was looking bleak. One of the older ones thought it was a coincidence but the others and the optician thought it was great

ChewingOnLifesGristle · 03/06/2013 18:31

I don't think he's funny. He says 'genuinely' too much

MayTheOddsBeEverInYourFavour · 03/06/2013 19:11

YANBU

I love RH, love good news but the breast milk thing does make a bit Confused

Nehru once I stopped bf I didn't think it was freaky or weird, wouldn't that be a bit strange? To suddenly change your mind about it because you didn't have a baby latched on right that minute?

I can understand people not wanting to ingest breast milk but I am baffled at the level of revulsion, especially when cows milk doesn't warrant a second thought

Don't some people with cancer use it because it might help a little and it's easy to digest and gentle on the stomach, would people judge that?

ICBINEG · 03/06/2013 20:23

Yup I agree...particularly love the good news section too...that's why I'd like to fix the minority of shit bits rather than walk away...

maybe I should send him some BM...

The guy is a fucking COCK, not sure how you could possibly be disappointed in him?

CherylTrole · 03/06/2013 20:58

I think you should just give RH a break! You can pick on David "bitty" Walliams if you want to instead Grin

CSIJanner · 03/06/2013 21:00

ICBEING - LMAO! Maybe she should all milk-mob him with bags of BM

I caught an episode on catch up last night where there was a European presenter who was drinking from a mum just for cracks and giggles on the tv. TBH I was a bit yuck about that, not for the drinking, but for the presenter making a big hullabaloo about it to make it even more controversial, therefore aiding the Daily Mail in its anti-BM campaign. BM is being used to make snake anti-venom at the moment and is being tested for properties to see if it really does help with illnesses etc. Am still nursing a 15mo and I don't see anything yuck about it.

RiotsNotDiets - the Mongolian article can be found here

CSIJanner · 03/06/2013 21:01

Sorry - that should read *maybe we should all milk-mob him...

RiotsNotDiets · 03/06/2013 21:22

Thanks CSI ooh I feel all warm and fuzzy after re-reading!

ICBINEG · 08/06/2013 09:34

Oh ffs Russell....let me explain again...

Cat hair = not for human consumption
Breast milk = FOR human consumption

Number of people who have eaten cat hair = 1 = extremely abnormal and weird

Number of people who have eaten breast milk = ~70% of the population = totally normal

Do you get it, you total and utter tit?

RiotsNotDiets · 08/06/2013 11:49

It's every episode now isn't it?!
What's wrong with him? Why does he have such a vendetta against bf??
stupid man

I saw the sketch about breast milk and i thought he seemed a bit of a twat. Can't say i will be watching him again.

LeGavrOrf · 08/06/2013 13:26

I think he is a ghastly wall-eyed twat.

Not because he is unfunny (just my opinion of course) but because he always looks to the audience for a reaction. And then does that 'uuuuum' thing when the audience are laughing before he can continue with his shrieking unfunny story.

LeGavrOrf · 08/06/2013 13:27

Are there any stand up comedians who aren't in fact sociopaths?

I think you have to be a bit odd to want to do that, tbh.

TheBirdsFellDownToDingADong · 08/06/2013 14:00

Miaow- But RH didn't make a gag about it.

It's all he ever talks about.

And he does exactly what Getorf says, he telegraphs his "I'm going to say something hilarious and you must laugh" thing, then says something twattish and waits for the adulation. (I often wonder just how lobotomised his audience must be, FGS, Bruce Forsyth is more funny and cutting edge than RH)

LeGavrOrf · 08/06/2013 14:04

I am glad you understood what I meant, I couldn't articulate what I meant very well. Grin

God he loves the applause. I don't know if stand up comedians are just damaged by having nobody pay attention to them as a child, or perhaps conversely they were spoilt little twats whose parents thought their every utterance was comedy gold.

TheBirdsFellDownToDingADong · 08/06/2013 14:04

I understand you dearheart, cos it's ME! Bucharest! Grin

LeGavrOrf · 08/06/2013 14:07

Hello lovely you!

TheBirdsFellDownToDingADong · 08/06/2013 14:08

See! We even hate RH together!

LeGavrOrf · 08/06/2013 14:11

We can just go on threads and agree with each other on every subject like we normally do.

Have you been away, or have you been here under a namexhange?

LeGavrOrf · 08/06/2013 14:12

What the hell is going in with your user name! Grin

Sorry for hijack OP.

TheBirdsFellDownToDingADong · 08/06/2013 14:14

It's my Eurovision name that I've been too idle to change.

Prior to that I became NotTreadingGrapes kind of permanently.

I have been trying to not get into threads any longer than a page when I open them though, as I felt my life was slipping away in the pale blue haze of the MN logo....
