I have crazy hair...I love it (obviously) but get quite a lot of dirty looks and nasty comments.

Today a lady came up to me in town and said I'd "brightened up her day", which totally brightened up mine! So nice to have a nice comment

Also made the 4 hours I spent braiding and installing last night worth it.

Aah I'm used to it....I did get freaked out by a woman the other day though. I wear dread extensions and she asked me if they were real etc...she then proceeded to start pulling them this way and that asking me how they were attached

Sure! All bleaching, dying, felting and installing by me...go for extensions, you can take them out easily if you get bored (which I do...frequently)

It's a lot of work on the short term...but now I've done it I won't have to do anything with my hair for a few weeks.

I can't see the pics but yanbu I love dreads, can't really get away with them myself but have a gorgeous friend who wears pink and white ones, they are stunning. She gets dickish comments all the time.

Oh x posts, just seen that you don't have to do anything to your hair. Maybe I should get dreads, I hate the wash/dry process and always end up looking like a drowned rat anyway.

I can't see the pictures :( I love dreads though

I did have a couple of fake dreads in last summer, and kept them in for about 4 months, but as they were growing out, I didn't have any after care/follow up care to turn my own hair to dreads. So now they're in a drawer.

I'm a big lover of crazy hair, having dead straight, wimps hair from birth.

I would always compliment wild hair, always.

It looks really clean and well cared for (and I love the colours), which is what I would think people inclined to shouting obscenities at randoms in the street might have against dreads.
