We filled a thread, so here's another!

Ok, thanks Celtic, I'll see if I can pop into M&S some time.

cantilena · 01/03/2013 15:15

Ooh, my 30J has just arrived and blimey! What a revelation! I was convinced that I'd feel all trussed up in a 30 band but it's really comfy. Bit too much space in the cup so might buy a couple more now in a 30HH which should be perfect!

Even with the slightly-too-big cup, it has improved my clothes no end - would never have taken my jumper off if I had a clingy t-shirt. Wahoo! Thanks lovely bra ladies :)

Grange · 01/03/2013 15:19

With a 33 under and 39 over I have just got a Freya from debenhams in a 32e. Revelation.

CelticPromise · 01/03/2013 15:36

Yay the success stories continue! Tell your friends!

NoHank · 01/03/2013 15:47

Wow, I can't believe how wrong I must have had it all these years. Only just seen the thread and measured myself. I am 32 under and 40/41 over. By the measurements guidelines should that make me about a 32F / 32FF?

I have been guessing between a 34DD and 36E for years.

Funnily enough I spoke to a relation I see only very rarely a few months ago and she said there was no way I was a 36 back as I looked much smaller and she thought I must be a 32 . She has worked in the bra fitting department at Debenhams for years. I thought she was just being polite and saying I looked like I had lost wieght. I should have listened Blush

hopehopehope · 01/03/2013 15:51

Please could you help me too? Have always been told by m&s that I'm a 34AA and am super flat chested. Never ever had a comfy bra in my life and I'll be 40 next month!! Cups always seem to be the wrong shape and stick out from my boobs and I have to hoist the straps up so high, the sides dig in under my arms. The backs always seem twisty and the front bit rides up. I measure 28 under and 30/31 round. I read the small boobs thread months ago and tried a 28a and 30a and then a 28b in debenhams but despite being quite petite, I looked like the michellin man with rolls of fat hanging out everywhere and could barely breathe! What size do you suggest I try?

squeakytoy · 01/03/2013 15:56

What should I be?

I am 34 under and 45 round..

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 01/03/2013 16:04

Hope, 28B/C? Although someone earlier suggested that if you're very skinny, you may need to go up a band size. I don't know for sure, though!

Squeaky, 34H? In that ball-park, anyway.

RubberBullets · 01/03/2013 16:05

As there appears to be no decent shops near me, can anyone suggest somewhere in Plymouth?

CelticPromise · 01/03/2013 16:09

NoHank 32G/GG. You may have missed out the double letters!

SorrelForbes · 01/03/2013 16:11

hopehopehope Try a 28C/D and a 30B/C. An A is going to be too small in the cup for you and it sounds like a B is too.

blonderedhead · 01/03/2013 16:12

Sorry if someone has already asked this, I've been trying to keep up with the threads, but what do you do if you are a bit lopsided? My right breast is at least a cup size smaller than the other.

CelticPromise · 01/03/2013 16:12

hope you need to go up in the cup to C or even try D and scoop scoop scoop all stray bulges into the cups. If the cup's top small the band will feel too tight. If you really feel that 28 is too tight you could try a 30 but remember to go down in the cup if you go up in the band.

CelticPromise · 01/03/2013 16:13

Blonde if you search for marriednotdead she has done a really good post somewhere about uneven breasts. The basic rule I believe is fit the bigger one and if necessary pad the smaller one.

CelticPromise · 01/03/2013 16:14

Afternoon Sorrel! Loving the success stories on the other thread!

micku5 · 01/03/2013 16:17

SorrelForbes, just wanted to say thank you. I ended up buying 2 bras today both Freya but one a 32GG and the other a 32H. What a difference a good fitting bra makes!!

SorrelForbes · 01/03/2013 16:19

Afternoon CP. I know, it's so cheering! I walked through M&S today and felt the rage building so didn't linger! Had a 20% off voucher too but I know they don't stock anything over a DD! Useless.

You're very welcome micku5. It's unbelievable isn't it?

blonderedhead · 01/03/2013 16:19

Thank you! Smile

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/03/2013 16:23

Ladies..can any of you who tweet and have had a bad M&S fit please tweet them? At the moment they say they " fit by measurement for underband and by sight for cup for more accuracy. What store did you visit? "

I don't want this passed off as one bad experience when we know it is not...

Thank you sooo much! Have noted down all the possible options to try on and will be shopping next week for new undies. With regards to scooping, how do I do that when my boobs are so small? Is it all the side bits of fat too?!!! Are there any high street stores that sell 28 and 30 inch backs? Would I need to look online? Still in shock that I'm bigger than an a cup! Thank you all again, will update after my shopping trip.

Tigglette · 01/03/2013 16:35

I've been following this thread with interest given my 40D bra size has never felt comfortable or looked right - rolls of back fat, bulging etc - but a bigger cup size looked empty. Have followed the measuring guide and am 38 under and 46 over... Popped in to debenhams today and am the proud owner of 3 new 38F bras which have eliminated back fat and make my boobs look fantastic... Thank you thank you!

ItsOkayItsJustMyBreath · 01/03/2013 16:37

WOW!!! I just did the bra size calculator and I am not a 32B, it says I am a 28FF Shock Shock Shock I have small boobs, I am not Jordan!

Can someone please tell me how tight to pull the tape measure around the droopy bits? I did it quite loosely so may have added a few centimetres there.

I am definitely going to try out some new bras after this thread Thanks

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/03/2013 16:38

Yey Tigglette! Where had you been fitted before?

Hopehopehope, try Debenhams if you have one, or john lewis.

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 01/03/2013 16:39

itsokay, the tape should be fairly loose over the bust. The cup is the harder but to measure, so start with the FF but also try a size or two either side.

OP posts:
ItsOkayItsJustMyBreath · 01/03/2013 16:41

Thank you Statistically, will report back when I actually get a chance to go shopping.
