We filled a thread, so here's another!

Next size is GG. Which Bravissimo bra is it and one of us will undoubtedly have tried it - some run small in the cup. Which bra did you try in a g(for comparison)

mrskeithrichards PM me your address and they are yours.

SarkyPants · 04/03/2013 19:46

Great backfat pics

The point is that the 36 is too tight, but only because the cups are far too small so the band is being dragged out at the front. This is why it cuts in just around the band rather that sitting flat.

Fwiw I've been wearing a new 32hh for 2 days that isn't a great fit and my back is in agony. It has been a useful reminder of how much difference it has made to my life to be fitted by bravissimo. I switched from a M&S 36g about 7 years ago and I can't say strongly enough how much difference t has ade to my life. 15 years of a bad back solved in one shopping trip. :(

I'm off to bravissimo for new bras tomorrow. Tempted to do the secret shopper thing at M&S on the way...

HellesBelles396 · 04/03/2013 19:47

the bravissimo bra I've looked at is the Rebecca recommended to another poster up thread (i hate sloppy-down straps) - the bras I tried on today were m&s - a plunge t-shirt bra and a normal t-shirt bra.

hippoCritt · 04/03/2013 19:49

The daily mail have a story about bad fitting bras suddenly after a study(study = reading on here?)

www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2287346/Do-need-to-boob-school-100-years-modern-bra-4-5-STILL-wearing-wrong-size.html

treesntrees · 04/03/2013 19:51

I went to a specialist bra shop where they do not measure you. The young assistant brought in a bra and put it on me in the proper way as explained above. I looked great and felt great. She then told me what size it was. Another time I went to a different bra shop where they measured me then proceded to bring in one different size after another none of which fitted properly. Guess which bra shop I'm going to next.

ClayDavis · 04/03/2013 19:53

I think I've done the measurements wrong, but can't work out how. Measured 31.5 under and 41 over. Went to try on the sizes you recommended but 32 band is way too small and couldn't manage to do it up.

I measured again when I got home and I'm still getting 31.5.

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/03/2013 19:58

Actually sarky the 36 had plenty of cup space - the central gore was totally flat, but the back just didn't allow it to lift and hold.

Okay, I'm taking a deep breath and entering the thread!

I've just measured myself, under bust measured at 44 Blush (not loose), but I can pull it into 42 without discomfort (I'm mentioning that as others have said larger ladies may be "squidgier")

Around bust is 50. It seems quite a difference, but I don't feel like I have a lot of boob Confused

I'm quite pleased I measured though as under bust used to be 48, the diet is working Grin

I haven't got a clue what bra size I'm in though!

Lueji · 04/03/2013 20:01

It's Bravissimo that have created a Boob School.
They must have noticed something.

A similar article is in the Telegraph www.telegraph.co.uk/women/womens-life/9907099/Its-time-to-bust-the-DD-boob-myth.html

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/03/2013 20:02

Welcome headfirst, start yourself at a 42FF

I can't pm you am I doing something wrong? You're a star!

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/03/2013 20:17

No idea why! email [email protected] if it's playing up

SarkyPants · 04/03/2013 20:19

Thanks for putting me straight :)

I don't suppose you do jeans fitting advice as well... :)

SorrelForbes · 04/03/2013 20:22

Well, I can highly recommend the Gap high rise Skinnies...

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/03/2013 20:22

Hell no, jeans and I are bitter enemies!

I had always thought it would be due to the cups being too small as well but that had plenty of space - I think it must support the back more than was obvious to begin with. Plus scooping fails in a huge back.

PastaBeeandCheese · 04/03/2013 20:26

I've PM'd you mrskeithrichards. No idea why it's not working but hopefully my message has sent.

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/03/2013 20:27

Doh sorry too many things open at once...I'm easily confused!

readsalotgirl · 04/03/2013 20:35

Ok here goes 33 under and 40 over - currently wearing a 34DD but have 36C and 36D bras. have to say I don't feel I completely fill the DD. Used to be a 34B a looooong time ago but don't really think my boobs have grown that much Confused

SorrelForbes · 04/03/2013 20:40

Try a 32FF, 32F 34F and a 34E. I would expect the 32 to give you more support as long as you team it with a big enough cup.

blibblibs · 04/03/2013 20:45

readsalotgirl you have the same measurements as me and have been wearing the same sizes as myself.
I'm now sitting here very comfortably in a 32F Grin but wait for the experts, they'll help you out Smile

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/03/2013 20:48

blibblibs, it's around the right territory, you might want to see how the FF fits too - you'll probably vary between styles
