We filled a thread, so here's another!

Loop in that case try the 32E/F.

LoopDeLoops · 04/03/2013 14:32

Thank you.

I bought some 34 ones because the band was really sore by the end of the day. Would this perhaps be because of a poor cup fit rather than band then?

CelticPromise · 04/03/2013 14:37

Loop it definitely could be. The breasts escaping from the cup pull on the band so it will cut in. Try a 32F to start and see if you're more comfy. Brastop often have good offers on worldwide delivery!

blibblibs · 04/03/2013 14:43

Thank you Celtic
Padded ones are def going back, not sure if I'll keep other one as its the best I have in my underwear drawer even with its puckering Smile
Have the day to myself tomorrow so may give Bravissimo another chance.
I am determined to get proper fitting bras Grin

GetOnYourDancingShoes · 04/03/2013 14:49

Inspired by these threads I decided to update my bras and have got a couple that fit nicely now.
While browsing through Tesco's offerings (bugger all in my new size!), I noticed that they have instructions on their bra labels...measure under band and add 4 Hmm.

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/03/2013 14:56

Someone else to tweet at later!

Statistically - back again with a question (sorry - selfish!). My measurements are a 29 back and 35 or 35.5 boobs. So 28F or 28FF or 30E or F. Got some plunge ones (I am the one who can't wear many bras due to bony chest and them causing pain) from M&S and the 30E was too small in the cup - I wore it for a few hours and it did feel tight and I did have some marks where the wires were pressing under my boobs. So I have ordered a 30F. I just got some delivered from Figleaves and they were a 28F. Too small in cup but I have asked for a 30F as the 28 did just feel tight. I am quite slim so is it that I don't have a squashy torso so the 28s are too tight against my ribcage?!

Even the 30s from M&S did feel very tight, especially by the end of the day, and left marks. I did think it was just me getting used to them but leaving marks on the loosest setting? Thanks!

sparkle12mar08 · 04/03/2013 16:50

Hmm, well, my brastop order arrived today and out of the 12 bras I ordered not one fits. I ordered them all in a 32F and reckon that I need at least 2 if not 3cup sizes bigger Shock! So they've all gone back and I've ordered my favourites in a 32G, 32GG and 30H. I'd also ordered some 30G's which should arrive tomorrow but there's not a cat in hells chance of them fitting I think.

I must say I'm very impressed with brastop so far - 24hr delivery (it actually arrived Saturday but I couldn't get back to the post office), free returns, brilliant polite service on the phone for exchanges.

Shape wise I'm not sure balconettes suit me. I'm quite full all over and most of today's single layer fabric bras cut my boobs into a weird half moon shape, albeit that the cup sizes were small. However the Curvy Kate I tried was a different beast entirely - very well made, slightly padded, just a much stronger and more secure animal. I think for very large cup sizes I'm going to have to accept that £20 isn't going to cut it for a bra.

Melinda76 · 04/03/2013 17:47

Ok I found a 34F in Boux Avenue that seems to tick all the boxes, am currently wearing it, will see how it feels in a few hours. It definitely feels more secure than my previous one (36C same bra) and a lot tighter, so will be looking for any boob escapage and red marks later on tonight.

Thank for your help x

WildThong · 04/03/2013 17:49

Sparkle, I'm a big fan of Curvy Kate too. Which one did you buy?

ItsOkayItsJustMyBreath · 04/03/2013 18:09

Well today I went to Debenhams and told the sales women about the new way of measuring and explained that I wanted to try a 28FF and 30F to try it out. They looked really shocked and said that wasn't how they were trained and I said well, look out because I think things are going to change Wink

I tried on the 28FF and it was just a bit too tight around the ribcage so went for a 30F and, WOW... IT FITTED!!! I might even go for a 30FF in a different style. I was wearing a 32B before and teenager crop tops.

Unfortunately, I didn't like the bra, I just picked the only ones in my size that they had. Now I know what fits I can go ahead and look for bras I like (well when I have a little more money that is). I am gobsmacked at how different I look in the right size bra, it's such a transformation.

Thanks Thanks Thanks to Statistically

PastaBeeandCheese · 04/03/2013 18:14

Noticed that some OPs have been refitted in 36F. I have 6 36Fs going begging as I'm actually a 32G!

They are all Freya or Panache so don't want to see them go to waste.

sparkle12mar08 · 04/03/2013 18:18

Wild Thong - it was the Entice in black and gold! So beautiful and opulent and, in the the right size, supportive I suspect. Have couple more sizes on order so am really hoping one fits. Have been discussing the whole issue with DH and bemoaning the likely prices in my size, and he simply said "Well you wear it 16+ hours a day and I've got a bonus coming up". I love my husband!

SorrelForbes · 04/03/2013 18:20

The bras I was offering have all been snapped up. I may have some more to offload depending on how successful my recent orders turn out to be!

EMUZ · 04/03/2013 18:34

My 30J has gone but the rest are still available Smile
I may have gone a bit tweet happy Blush

reastie · 04/03/2013 18:42

I have absolutely loved these bra fitting threads so Thanks . I measured myself and I am indeed wearing the correct size bra already [proud] .

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/03/2013 18:44

Tweet the world Emuz!

Sparkle - I tried the Entice and loved it but it was a little too small, I think it comes up pretty small in the cup. Gorgeous though. There is another colourway too....

EMUZ · 04/03/2013 18:48

I've just tweeted an article that reads "pregnant Kim's doctor has warned she may even go up to a J cup"

Obviously meant to be read with "shock horror and gasps of astonishment" at someone being a (omg) J cup Angry

onemoredayplease · 04/03/2013 18:56

Bought a 36gg. Fit great in the shop but now boobs spilling over the top! What have I done wrong?

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/03/2013 19:08

I am soooo not leaving this up so it's on preview and will be deleted but... backfat Blush

Statistically, thank you so much for posting that, I salute you. It's so sad that we've believed ourselves to have 'fat' backs all these years when it's really just a consequence of badly fitting bras!

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/03/2013 19:26

I'm a bit Blush cos I am far from slim I'm afraid but the difference is pretty significant and I know many pepole can't get their head around it. I can understand why someone would look at the 36 and go "too tight"...but it's not

OP posts:
MrsKeithRichards · 04/03/2013 19:27

pasta I'm a new 36f and would put them to good use!

HazleNutt · 04/03/2013 19:33

onemore you need to go up a cup size, that's a very common sign that the cup is too small. Try to walk and jump around a bit when trying bras on to see if the boobs try to escape.

HellesBelles396 · 04/03/2013 19:35

So I went and tried on some different bras now that my New 38E fantasie is uncomfortable. back size I'm pretty certain I'm a 34 - it felt the best out of 36 and 34. the biggest size they had there was a G but I was double cupping. is the next size gg or h? also, if I order from bravissimo, are their cup sizes quite true?
