We filled a thread, so here's another!

I hate moulded bras, they just don't work for me. However, all my bras have some very slight padding/very thick material. It's trial and error really.

MurderOfGoths · 03/03/2013 20:55

Quick question, on the blog it says that the correct, rather than a larger, will help with the back fat issue. Does that work even if you large all over?

RikersBeard · 03/03/2013 20:57

I have been searching for my tape measure since yesterday (not continuously). Have finally found it and my measurements are 30 under and 35 over. Is anybody still giving measurement help, please could you help me?

I am desperate for new underwear, have just stopped wearing maternity or nursing bras for the first time in 4 years, and am keen to give my now fairly flat and floppy chest a boost!

StatisticallyChallenged · 03/03/2013 20:58

YUP it does MurderOfGoths. I'm not petite..I'm a 14/16 and I have plenty of tubby going on, but I look soooo much less fat from the back in a good bra!

RikersBeard We're still around! Try a 30DD to start with.

RikersBeard · 03/03/2013 20:59

Nooooo! Really ??? I am wearing a 32B Blush

RikersBeard · 03/03/2013 21:00

And thank you :)

sparkle12mar08 · 03/03/2013 21:01

Just a quickie, but Debenhams seem to have a sale on atm with between 15%-30% of DD+ lingerie and free postage. I counted over 60 bras for under £20 in my current 30G/32F sizes.

HazleNutt · 03/03/2013 21:05

Murder, an example - even if she doesn't have full back view, you can see the back fat difference:

Hello Celtic and Hazle

MurderOfGoths · 03/03/2013 21:06

Oh that's fantastically helpful!

HazleNutt · 03/03/2013 21:10

Evening Sorrel and others!

Regarding the blog, if anybody is brave enough, I think it would be really helpful to have similar photos than the ones I just posted, to show the difference between a well fitting bra and M&S fitting bra.

Maybe some ladies who have been helped on this thread could email photos of them in their old and new bras? Even with clothes on, if you don't want to pose in underwear, you would see a massive difference. What do you think?

StatisticallyChallenged · 03/03/2013 21:12

I've stuck up a couple of photos of the bad M&S bra, but I might go back to M&S tomorrow and try to take some better photos.

It would be really useful to have some "before and after" shots from those who are brave enough. We will of course cut heads off photos. Anyone who feels comfortable with this please PM me...hmmm, I need a new email address for this stuff!

OP posts:
HazleNutt · 03/03/2013 21:17

wow how could anyone even imagine that this bra would do its job!

ClayDavis · 03/03/2013 21:18

Going shopping for new bras tomorrow as I no longer have any even come close to fitting. What sort of size do I need to be looking for. Measurements are 31.5 and 41. TIA

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 03/03/2013 21:19

Yay, I got a message from the EBay seller and they dispatched my 28HH Bravissimo Daisy Chain on Friday! Hope it comes tomorrow, and fits!

Attempted intervention with shy friend. No dice - she wouldn't measure herself and admitted to wearing non-underwired bras. Will have to try again another time. On the plus side, got DSis and extrovert friend to measure themselves (enthusiastically and drunkenly) in front of shy friend and we had a v long bra discussion, including ripping off our bras and comparing them to a handful of my assorted bras. DSis is wearing 32C and should be 28F; extrovert friend is currently in 38DD and measures 36HH! I'm pretty sure they have seen the light - they were looking up bras all morning.

MrsPennyapple · 03/03/2013 21:28

Thanks for your advice earlier Statistically, I went shopping today, as much as possible with the limited choice available here. I tried on a couple of 32s in M&S but they were unbelievably tight around the ribs, but I did find a 34DD that fit nicely. I then went to another shop that I had hugh hopes for, as they sell lots of different brands, I tried on probably ten different ones but no luck. I discovered that a 32 in the Triumph bras fits nicely, but there were no DD or E cups in the ones I liked! Oh well, at least I have one that fits, for now. I will look online, and also read the rest of the thread!

StatisticallyChallenged · 03/03/2013 21:31

I bet the bra departments are busy just now!

ClayDavis, I would suggest trying a 30GG, 30H, 32G and 32FF to start with

"Maybe some ladies who have been helped on this thread could email photos of them in their old and new bras? Even with clothes on, if you don't want to pose in underwear, you would see a massive difference. What do you think?"

I'm up for it.

ClayDavis · 03/03/2013 21:40

Thanks. That fits with my suspicion that I've lost weight/fat from most of my body, but very little from my boobs.

ToothGah · 03/03/2013 21:45

I'm up for it, I'll post some photos later this week if you can give me an email address.

ToothGah · 03/03/2013 21:46

BTW, I even told the checkout lady in Asda why I was buying so many bras, she was going home to get herself measured :)

RubberBullets · 03/03/2013 21:49

I'm still trying to find a comfortable bra and have been wearing non wired nursing bras so probably not much use me doing any photos. I do plan on visiting Bravissimo in May when I'm on holiday in Manchester so fingers crossed they will find me some lovely bras as I'm getting fed up with the band digging in all the time. At this rate I'll go back to my 42s because they never dig in but the 38s and 36s do :(

lillybloom · 03/03/2013 21:57

How have i managed to miss this thread! Save me ladies i have every size in my drawers and none that feel comfy. I also suffer from the dreaded 4 boobs at the fron syndrome with a spare pair under my arms. 32/41 measurements what would that make me?

SorrelForbes · 03/03/2013 22:02

Lillybloom - try a 32G

lillybloom · 03/03/2013 22:04

Thanks SF Shopping as we speak.
