We filled a thread, so here's another!

OP posts:

Thanks Celtic

38E at the moment. Reading this thread has made me realise I have been making the mistake of buying ever larger back sizes instead of bigger cups.

Looking forward to shopping Grin

FancyPuffin · 02/03/2013 15:33

Just to add to that I've 40 back bras that just make me look like shit Angry

FancyPuffin · 02/03/2013 15:33

*got

I don't have 40 bras Grin

Trazzletoes · 02/03/2013 15:37

Celtic I scooped as vigorously as I possibly could! I promise!

Shoot - maybe I'm an E cup... faints I've been an AA most of my life and was so pleased to get to a B cup when I got pregnant Grin

Trazzletoes · 02/03/2013 15:38

And I really REALLY don't want to send back the 34DD. I'm back in my old bra and I really feel how uncomfy it is now, every second!!! Grin

sparkle12mar08 · 02/03/2013 15:53

Another question from me - what are good brands & designs for keeping the breasts forwards on the front chest? So many bra cups even in my correct sizing are shaped such that the side rounds outwards.

mamarara · 02/03/2013 15:58

Any takers on my 32 / 39.5?
Am a little bit over excited at the thought of a bra that doesn't hurt!
(Thanks and sorry for asking twice!)

Hello Bra Revolution Dudes.

I have recently lost 14lbs and was in the market for new underwear .... on account of some of it being older than me eldest child - 11 years at least Blush. The lovely Trazzles has pointed me to here so I am here with some numbers .....

I am 30.5 inches around the bottom bit
I am 36 inches around the long droopy boobs.

What does this mean? I am wearing a 32C at the moment but have a selection of bras (on account of them being so old and having had the largest breastfeeding norks that ever graced the earth) from 34B and 30GG.

Thank you.

This is brilliant. I luffs MN and the dudes on it.

sparkle12mar08 · 02/03/2013 16:16

mamarara - 32F and 32FF

Teamakesit - 30E and 32DD. But I'd lay money on the 30 fitting better.

HellesBelles396 · 02/03/2013 16:22

Now I've had my new bra on for a few hours, I don't think it fits. I've tightened it to the smallest fastening and it still feels like it's moving despite my moving about a fair bit in the fitting room without any slippage.

Now that the straps tighter, the cup feels wrong. The side-wires are on squishy flesh rather than firm flesh.

It's a 38E.

sparkle12mar08 · 02/03/2013 16:26

What happened to the 36 you said you had just up thread, Helles? Sounds like you need a smaller band and bigger cup, so perhaps a 36F?

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 02/03/2013 16:30
HellesBelles396 · 02/03/2013 16:32

I had previously read the label from under my armpit - it's a 38E. I'll need to change my order with Bravissimo Sad.

SC said that these Fantasie bras are big for their sizes - perhaps a 36FF? Or, given the fact the understrap is still a little loose, a 34 FF?

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 02/03/2013 16:32

That's huge. Thanks. I shall pop into HoF on Monday to try those sizes on.

I would never have thought I was that big!

FierceBadIggi · 02/03/2013 16:37

Ok have gone to Debenhams wearing a 40E and returned with a 34J! (Measurement was 36/49)
My biggest problem is going to be doing it up. I'm normally a do-it-up-back-to-front person, and really struggling with doing up something so tight at the back!
It does look impressive though. Thanks

Nonky · 02/03/2013 16:41

yippeee! I have just got back from bra shopping and now in a comfy 38G not a 38E that gave me 4 boobs and shoulder ache. Thank you so much for your help. The bra departments were packed today!

mamarara · 02/03/2013 16:51

Thank you sparkle!

Losingexcessweight · 02/03/2013 16:58

Not read the thread but ....

Has anyone tried bravissimo??

I had lots of problems with bras before i found bravissimo.

In marks n spencers i was measured a 38C.

The bra didnt look right, couldnt work out why despite trying loads more sizes.

Bravissimo measured me at 32F. The bra was perfect!

They are pricey at around £30 for one bra but well worth it. You have to hand wash them and you ll get about 12-18months out of one bra.

blibblibs · 02/03/2013 17:05

Well I'm just back from bra shopping and it was a disaster Sad

Bravissimo lady looked a guessed going from a 34D to a 32F. However I was able to put the 32 on the tightest hook and twirl it round my body so she suggested a 30. Tried it on 30FF (i think) and she said now that we've sorted your size someone else will be in with some different styles for you. Another lady came in with a few bras (one was the Alana can't remember the others) and left. Tried them all on but they just weren't right. Felt back fat was a bit much and the cups were empty at the nipple area but a bit too tight at the top.

Then nothing....was in the changing room for ages and no one came back Sad so I left...braless

Then went on my merry way to M&S. Nothing in a 30 back so tried on the only 32F I could find, which did fit but was toooo ugly.

Then off to HoF. Tried on a 32F which again seemed to fit, a thriump i think but again tooo ugly. Only had a 30G which was far too big.

So from a hellish afternoon shopping i think i may be a 32F, but i need quite full coverage. Found the balconette styles were leaving me a bit wobbly at the top.

So I've given up on the high street and am going to try on line, so where is best for returns, because I have a feeling I will be needing to return some till I get this right Smile

badtasteflump · 02/03/2013 17:14

My update...

The first of the new bras I ordered online arrived today - 30F Shock. Was wearing 36B/C before with a bit of cup floppyness...

But it fits perfectly! Thought the band looked tiny and the cups looked huge when I held it up but it fits me! I keep poking myself in my (newly discovered) boobs - I can't believe I have that much boob in the cups and it's all mine (mwa-ha-ha!)

Sorry gone slightly mad with the excitement of it all Grin

sparkle12mar08 · 02/03/2013 17:25

Feeling your own boobs is a hazard of a well fitting bra I must admit!

Blibblibs - Debenhams is good for returns as are M&S, also Brastop seem v well regarded here (I'm waiting on tenterhooks for an order from them!). Brastop have an amazing range of stuff. Also sounds like you might still need a bigger cup - what were your actual measurements again?

Helles - try them all - 36F, 36FF, 34FF. You'll find that perfect one eventually!

HellesBelles396 · 02/03/2013 17:33

will do, thanks.

MrsKoala · 02/03/2013 17:33

hurrah! success!

Back from bravissimo with 2 36e for mum. she just can't believe it. it has taken pounds off her waist too :)

Thanks guys.

blibblibs · 02/03/2013 17:46

measurements are 33.5 under (but almost 32 if its really tight) and 39/40 bending over

teaforthree · 02/03/2013 17:48

Would just like to say a massive thank you for the advice on here from the very knowledgeable ladies. I went to Bravissimo in the next city (spent an absolute fucking fortune but never mind) and I now look feminine! Nice lovely boobies pointing where they should not swinging wildly. I feel actually comfortable for the first time ever.

Now WIBU to run down the street with my new bra on shouting "touch my amazingly pert 32J breasts!"?
